Controlled demolition vs. the towers collapsing

oh come on...don't let me lose you...i think somewhere is a glimmer of rationalization...don't fall back into the rabbit hole...it was a movie...fiction.

Seriously. There is no hard proof, not even any soft proof really, of CD of any kind being used in WTC1/2 or 7 for that matter...seriously. You have no series of loud booms or flashes if you go the classic CD route...you have no proven method at all if you go the thermite route. You have nothing either way. However, there is a plethora of evidence backing up the official account of what happened.

Come on...you seem like you want to believe the reality...you can do it.

Well, this is just the merry-go-round. There were reported to be a series of loud booms, whether they resemble traditional CD or not. Even early media reports that have since been made inaccessible talk about explosions. I have even read at least one witness account of seeing flashes. Just sayin'. AS for thermite, I can't argue either way, but it doesn't have to be thermite either. I think that at this stage of advanced military technology there probably exist many different technologies that most of us know nothing about or have even heard or conceived of. We know what kind of research goes into advancing military technologies. Sadly, military applications are often what drives technological advance in our society.

your right, doesn't have to be conventional explosives, or thermite...could be pixie dust, laser beams from outer space...

OR IT COULD BE FIRES AND AIRCRAFT COLLISIONS.

TAM:)

Oh PS, please link me to the account of a series of loud explosions. Oh, and a series of loud noises AT THE TIME OF THE COLLAPSE do not count, as that would be the building coming down.

I'm sorry you couldn't find them. This does seem to be a thorn in your side.

No, I believe it was Big Al, moving goalposts when I pointed out that there were eyewitness reports and therefore was evidence of large explosions in the buildings on that day.

How long are you going to keep arguing over this?

You mean these eye witnesses! Wow you have them now!

These guys heard this! How can anyone deny explosives?

"Sounds like a shotgun" –Eric Ronningen
"Sounded like an explosion" –John Morabito
"There were lots of explosions" –Jeff Birnbaum
"Under the assumption that the sounds were secondary bombs." –Andrew Rodriguez
"Sounded like bombs. Like a bomb going off. I mean, it was huge." –FDNY Deputy Chief Peter Hayden
"Sounded like bombs" –Keith Murphy
"A huge explosion" –Gerard Gorman
"Sound of popping and exploding" –Alwish Monchery
"Explosions" –William Burns
"Kept hearing these large boom, boom" –Rosario Terranova
"Sounded like explosions." –Anthony Fitzgerald
"Like a shotgun going off" –Mark Meier
"Sounded like explosions" –Wilfred Barriere
"Sounded like bombs, like blockbusters" –John Murray
"You could hear explosions" –Richard Smiouskas
"Sounded like an M-80, that's how loud they were" –Tim Pearson

With this on the site, on 911, right next to the WTC, eyewitness accounts you have the Pulitzer Prize.

They have to deny you, or they loose their pensions! You got them now!

Do we have them!?

Beachnut! This is the first bit of research I've ever seen you do!! Very good! I don't recognize the names, but all sounds good to me!

You never do research, you do delusional lies.

You failed! You spew delusions and can't think for yourself. Failure, 9 years and you lie and disrespect those who died on 911. A failed terrorist apologist. How many more years will you fail?

Following are 16 WTC first responder descriptions of explosive noises well before the towers collapsed:

"Sounded like bombs" –Keith Murphy
"A huge explosion" –Gerard Gorman
"Sound of popping and exploding" –Alwish Monchery
"Explosions" –William Burns
"Kept hearing these large boom, boom" –Rosario Terranova
"Sounded like explosions." –Anthony Fitzgerald

It would be dishonest of me to represent these accounts as anything but what they are: descriptions of bodies from the towers hitting the ground. But members of the 9/11 "truth" movement have no such compunction about misrepresenting dozens of other eyewitness accounts.

All those quotes, all these quotes are from people hearing bodies hitting the ground. You are in the right movement, failure for 9 years and you are a perfect fit.

Physics says there are no silent explosives.

"Explosion" is just a good word for "loud noise" unless there really was a man-made explosion, in which case a million people for a kilometer around would all hear the same noise and there would deaths and injuries with unique symptoms.

There were lots of loud explosions at WTC. There were no eyewitnesses reports of noises consistent in timing, loudness and brisance with man-made demolition.

There were no injuries or deaths with symptoms consistent with man-made explosions. There are lots of injuries consistent with burns caused by of jet fuel.

Did you cut and paste this from somewhere Al? Hence the stanzas rather than paragraphs?

Anyway, here's where your source is wrong again. From the same link, http://patriotsquestion911.com/survivors.html :

This is bull crap. I will start with Deshore, since the lying sludge-swimmers at that site have so badly and obviously quote mined her.

She saw the top of the north tower collapsing and forcing the fire out of the spaces it occupied. No demolitions charges were destroyed in the process.

You seem to keep not wanting to read what I'm actually saying. There are materials that we know of today that can cut steel chemically. I am not talking here about silent explosives.

Many can. Acids, for example. They all are slow-acting and difficult (or virtually impossible) to apply to a vertical surface and are thus unsuitable for demolishing steel structures.

So, what chemicals could do the job at WTC?

No! It couldn't, T.A.M! And you know why! :)

Just curious... why exactly can't it possibly have been the large fires in the towers, or debris hitting other objects? Is there some magical property of all combustibles where none of them explode and thus be reported as explosions? :boggled:

This is truly baffling... can you please explain your reasoning for that answer you gave to TAM?

Great point. I would also like to know why ergo finds it IMPOSSIBLE that impact and fire damage alone could destroy buildings.

Why is it that this small percentage of truthers are so closed-minded to the simplest explanations?

Why can it not be fire and impact damage that caused the collapses?
Because ergo and his compatriots say so of course!

He has been boxed into a corner where he says
My uninformed and unthought-out theory would be that if you can use thermite to cut up the core, then you only need a few strategically placed bombs or whatever that could initiate failure, and let gravity do the rest
yet cannot envision that an initial collapse was caused by impact damage and office fires and that after that gravity did indeed do the rest. His unthought out theory is not a theory at all but a bald contention that gravity could not do 'the rest' unless aided by some other means

ergo belongs in the same box as bill smith who contends that the columns were filled with thermite up to about the 88th floor and that this resulted in tens of thousands of pounds of liquid steel in the basement levels.
