You see the mess truthers make of the testimony of people they focus on?
They project their agenda onto the testimony - so when Jennings says he was told not to look down, that implies he didn't look down.
Of course Dylan Avery isn't going to ask him directly - 'did you see dead bodies?' No, that would be far too clear.
Instead when Jennings himself states emphatically that he saw no dead bodies, the truthers now have to furiously spin his words to make it appear that he's been 'coerced' to change his story.
but he never actually saw dead bodies, as his original interview proves.
There's other things that he never saw, such as the towers collapsing. We know this because neither Jennings nor Hess could have seen the towers from the window that was broken out on Barclay st. (north side).
Jennings himself admits that he 'had no way of knowing' that the towers had fallen, yet contradicts himself again when he claims he saw them come down.
It's not really a big deal - he and Hess were dazed and confused, neither of them understood what was going on until later.
But truthers parse every statement to fit their controlled demolition fantasy, and even excuse the mis-statements of their star witnesses if they are inconvenient to the fantasy.
Incompetent analysis and revisionism don't get much worse than the hack-job that truthers are doing to the truth. Their movement is a complete failure in terms of getting the facts and physics correct..... this is not news, of course.
ETA a quick check revealed that truthers have amplified the errors, and speculation now morphs into new truther 'facts'
'When they made it to the lobby, Mr. Jennings found it destroyed and
littered
with dead bodies.'
'Jennings was
fearful he would loose his job, and possibly his pension, if he didn't retract his story. He asked Dylan Avery to exclude the interview of him recounting his story from Avery's then forthcoming documentary, Loose Change Final Cut. 2'
