Font Problem

I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium, SP2. A couple of days ago the on-screen fonts started to display all screwed up. That highly technical jargon means that the font in web pages, on my menus, in my Outlook mail, etc. are not displayed using the proper font. In some cases the font is so small (on google, for example) that it is difficult to read.

I've done some searching for links to others who may have had this problem but can't find anything helpful. I've check my fonts in the control panel but can't see anything amiss.

Any ideas?

No, the font itself is different and, as far as I can tell, not the same on all applications. But the size varies as well.

Tried those steps and finally tried the regfix idea. No help.

I set up a new user and, indeed, the problem does not exist when I log in under that user.
