Shabbas goy is the word you're looking for. You realize that in Israel your marriage would not have been allowed? In fact, if you were a Christian, you're wife's relatives might amuse themselves by spitting on you. Something to think about (ref: http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2009/07/06/2617502.htm) Discussing the holohoax with a Jew, or a shabbas goy, is like discussing the virgin birth with a Catholic. No point in it. The shabbas goy, or the Catholic, might be a PhD, smarter than you, educated, whatever, but at the point where their group identification becomes paramont, rational discussion is impossible. As this forum amply demonstrates over and over.
Actually discussing the holocaust with a Jew isn't always futile even if it often is. Technically, by a freak accident of matrilineal descent, I'm Jewish. I'm not practicing, I don't belong to a synagogue and I'm an atheist who rejects the concept of faith entirely. I don't consider myself Jewish but if I were married to Meadmaker's wife, our marriage would be recognized in Israel.
Practicing Jews who regularly attend the synagogue and learn about the Holocaust in that context are difficult to get through to. Their knowledge of the holocaust is incomplete so they don't know enough to ask any questions. They can tell you ad nauseum about Hoess' confession and what he told us about Auschwitz. Some of them might even be able to tell you that he might've been slightly 'manhandled' when he was first captured. They don't know, and they will vehemently deny, that he was beaten nearly to death and endured weeks of torture before he gave the final version of his confession. They don't know, or they vehemently deny, that the confession he signed was written in English, a language Hoess didn't understand.
Practicing Jews are like everybody else in the sense that they don't know enough about the holocaust to ask any questions. They're further hobbled by years of indoctrination that taught them that asking any questions is anti-Semitic. And for them, anything anti-Semitic is something that injures them personally.
You might have trouble breaking through to them but alot of Jews aren't totally wrapped up in their Jewish identity. They actually can be reached although it they're still as difficult to get through to because, like everybody else, they've been taught the holocaust is true and they don't know enough to ask questions.
So please don't paint all Jews with the same brush. The problem you're having with your question is that you're assuming everybody knows what you're talking about when you say 'mass graves.' Remember that people who question the holocaust by definition are people who learned about the holocaust, were interested in the topic enough to seek out more information, and then at some point noticed or were pointed to some anomalies that didn't seem quite right. The initial reaction is that it is inconceivable that something as big as the holocaust might have serious flaws. So you seek more and more information so you can confirm or reject your suspicions.
What this means is that your knowledge of the holocaust is going to be more extensive than the people who buy into the Schindler's List version of the holocaust.
You need to spell out exactly what you're asking for. Most people don't know that Jews were gassed and incinerated at only a very few, very small, well defined camps. Auschwitz was the biggest, followed by Treblinka, and then Madjanek, Chelmno, Belzec, and Sobibor.
Those are the camps where the mass graves are to be found. You're not talking about the bulldozing bodies of Belsen photographs of mass graves. Those are pictures of mass graves of people who died of disease in the camps in Germany proper. Nobody disputes the existence of those graves. But those aren't holocaust graves.
The mass graves you're looking for are going to be found in camps that were in Poland. Take Belzec as an example. 600,000 Jews were murdered in gas chambers, buried within the camp, dug up and incinerated, and the remains reburied. There was a study in the late 1990s/2000 conducted by a researcher named Kola to locate the mass graves. They found mass graves all over the area of the camp. Some of these mass graves held three or four bodies. None of the graves that were discovered were large enough to hold anywhere near the number of bodies that were allegedly buried there.
The entire camp has now been buried under a pile of rubble making any further investigation impossible. But we can assume based upon the research that was done that there are mass graves but nothing big enough to hold six hundred thousand bodies . So the only logical assumption is that a few hundred people died at Belzec.
This proves that Belzec wasn't quite the death camp it once was thought to be.
I think what Saggy wants is somebody to show him a mass grave that is large enough to hold the number of bodies it is suppose to hold.
A picture of a few bones in a hole at Treblinka doesn't prove that 700,000 people were buried there. Show us evidence of a mass grave that can hold that many people.
250,000 at Sobibor. Show me a mass grave there big enough to hold that many people.
A million person mass grave at Auschwitz. Where is it?
These are the mass graves of the holocaust that Saggy is looking for. The question is somewhat rhetorical because I think Saggy knows, just as I know, that there aren't any mass graves at these camps.
But I'm willing to be proven wrong.
