Mr. Cardone being the DA. That sounds pretty innocuous until this part is added.

I'm trying to imagine what circumstances would exist where a DA would not describe that as, "They tried to hit him with their car."

It sure seems like a good DA could find an assault charge of some kind in there somewhere. If it had been a police officer that had been "brushed up against" by an automobile that "came at him" I bet he would have.

My guess is they might not have been trying to hit him. They may have been trying to make a getaway when Bell went out to try and spot them, he got in their path, and he barely avoided getting run over.

Of course, that's just my imagination interpreting that statement. I'm guessing that the DA is being vague because they're not 100% clear on all the facts. We'll just have to wait for more details to roll in.

Homo sapiens is not a race but a species.
Your point is unclear. Do you mean that bigotry against muslims is racism or is not racism?

course its racism....the "muslim is not a race" argument just annoys me the 468th time you see it. where race is defined into nonexistance by using virtually species level deliniations.


"black" isn't a race either......under this quaint line of argument

Islam is no more a race than is christianity or buddhism or any other religion you care to name.
How is rejecting islam as a' race' defining 'race' into non-existence?

sorry, my bad (typo) not defining race into non-existance its defining racism into non existance.

don't call me a racist because I have an irrational hatred of all those black people that live over there as black is not a race....

all racists need collective markers to aid them in identifying who they hate.... skin colour is a popular one but when the targets are often rather pale skinned another measure is needed....

You are using 'black' as an example of racism to show that religious bigotry is racism. And you are also laying racism entirely on pale-skinned people: rather racist, I think.
If race is not the basis for the bigotry, it is not racism.
Explain to me how a religion is a race.
Are people who hate gays racist?
