Coast to Coast AM Debate, August 21 2010

It's too bad I had to go. I would have LOVED to call it. I think my question would have been something along the lines of " Hey Box Boy, why do you think that all the members of FDNY are cowards? You claim that we heard explosions, but not one of us is willing to stand up and say "Yes, we heard bombs, and that is what killed 343 of our Brothers. Are we all that much of a coward?"

I wonder what he would do......

But the real problem was Ian Punnett. Every time Gage made one of your points below, Punnett would poopoo it and keep pressing him not to focus on the impossibility of the official story, but to explain exactly what DID happen, which of course Gage couldn't do.

And Dave Thomas impressed me as a complete joke. He said he teaches a course in physics at NMTech but just came across 911 truth 10 months ago! This guy isn't taking this seriously. And also, his whole position was the "pancake collapse", which is ludicrous from so many ways that were discussed by truthers back in 2007. First of all, there were NO pancakes at the end, there was fine dust. And the "collapse" (there was no collapse) was in free fall velocity.

It's strange enough to read that, hearing it outta Gage sounds even more so. It's AAAARGGH!!!!!!! Maddening how literally they interpret things...

And ahh... how you gotta love teh no-planers:
"Also, it was assumed in the debate as a premise that planes hit the buildings, they didn't."

Of course the guy is an out and out "Woodite". "There was no collapse" being a favourite mantra of Dr Judy. Her incessant reposte being that the the towers didn't collapse but dustified and "wafted to heaven" .

Mere mortals! Yield to the might of the Holy Waftage!

Gage also complained about the no pancakes and they typically refer the concrete construction examples to demonstrate it. They don't seem to realize that the floor trusses in the WTC were not as rigid as the tee-girders which range between 36" and 48" in depth used in a lot of your traditional reinforced concrete construction... The concrete in the WTC was only a few inches deep, and the trusses weren't solid concrete... I think it's a miracle that a few chunks of these "stacks" even survived considering

Molten iron!! Molten iron!!

He wouldn't stop saying that, even after Mr. Thomas made it clear that iron isn't the only metal found in buildings. He even tried to say Mr. Thomas agreed with him on that point. What a douche you are, Gage.

Everyone else is convinced. They can't be reasoned with. So the best way to convince them is to ignore them -- eventually they'll get bored and stop obsessing over it, though it could take years or even decades. Best way to piss them off, also, is to ignore them. The one thing the Truth Movement has always thrived on is drama.

If you don't believe me, just scan through the Forums and see how often Truthers try to reply to me, knowing full well I have them irrevocably on Ignore and will never, ever respond. If their messages weren't quoted by other posters so frequently, I'd hardly know they exist -- just like 99% of the real world.

Ignoring them works. Give it a try.

This.

Stayed up forever listening to this and one of the major things i came away with ( besides a headache from listening to crap reception on a stereo system that is literally older than i am , because i had no other radio. ) is that gage, never answered a question. He kept saying " well, here is the real question. " and going on an obviously pre written rant that had little to nothing to do with the actual question asked, then he has the stones to act like he actually answered the question.

My friends and i kept thinking how wonderful the world would be if this logic worked in other situations. Like a job interview...

" so what experience do you have that would qualify you for this job?"

" Well actually, the real question is, who is my favorite band. And i say the white stripes. So when can i start work?"

Or getting pulled over by a cop.

" Is that liquor on your breath sir?"

" Well, that isn't the issue, the real question is, is my insurance paid up? And yes sir, it sure is, can i leave now?"

It amazes me that someone can hear that, and say " yeah he did a good job.". It would be like watching a ufc fighter do nothing but eye gouge and kick in the stones, and saying he was worthy of a championship belt.

Good work, today! I enjoyed listening to it although I think the format of introducing more and more speakers (including the callers, especially the callers!) made the talk become a bit frayed at the edges and lose focus.

When things were more focused such as on Gage's attempts to explain massive beams being hurled by gigantic explosions which were heard by hundreds of people yet...er... really quiet because it was produced by nanothermite (oh and regular explosives as were heard by the firemen on the telephone etc...etc...) his contradictions became obvious. And you did well persuing him on that. I think all the advert breaks unfortunately cluttered things up too much.

The main thing I got from the debate is that Gage is more of a conspiracy theorist than I had thought.

His usual routine of trying to be as conservative as possible in his accusations and trying to make a case of "reasonable doubt" completely and unexpectedly fell apart when he started rattling off all of those "false flag" attacks (USS Liberty, Lusitania, Pearl Harbor...etc...etc...). That was a bit of a new side to Gage that I hadn't seen before (even though it was obviously there somewhere).

Cheers!

Well said. That is pretty much exactly the way I felt about Gage's performance, usually he gets away with not elaborating on the specifics because he is in an interview that is much shorter than the format we got to hear last night.

Just looked at AJ's link! 4 hours! I'll wait to dl Sam's version..

tnx all

Seriously three hours, this is the most epic 911 debate!

For those concerned citizens who may be following this thread in conjunction with listening to the show.

If you doubt that WTC7 was a professionally carried out controlled demolition have a look at these two photos.

Frankly guys the convert counter is going off the scale..You know it.
This is why I don't debate conspiracy theorists any more.

It amazes me that someone can hear that, and say " yeah he did a good job."
They hear what they want to hear. It's like those old text-based RPGs that people loved to torment themselves with a long time ago.

Ahead is a rocky shoreline that looks to be inhabited by angry natives. Land here or continue down the coast?

You decide to... >
Land later

You decide to land. Your crew is beset by well-armed cannibals. The meat of your mangled bodies make good pancakes. Game over.

ETA: Sam is working on another version of the recordings which will be free of the commercial and news breaks, which will cut it down to about three hours instead of four, by my estimation.

I think I'll just wait until ae911 publish a 10 minute youtube summary of the truth about the debate, set to music with videos of the collapses.

Coming soon from ae911truth web site.

That's why I think all prominent debunkers will withdraw into the shodows like Mackey and refuse to debate.

You're missing the point of why he refuses to debate. In a nutshell, he's tired of hearing the same old nonsense that has been repeated ad nauseam! Why would anyone want to debate under those circumstances?
