Yep. Obama is just being a politician on the international stage. A little massaging of the Muslim ego never hurt. Or the Jewish ego. Or the Turkish ego. Etc. And guess what, as President of this here 'ol US of A he is, in fact, a politician on the international stage. He's just doing his job.

I would disagree with you. I don't think a person should be persecuted for his or her beliefs. I think that all that matters is the person's actions. In the US, that is. You'd agree with me on that, wouldn't you, BAC? You'd agree that in the US, people should have the freedom to think whatever they want?

And under American Law, they can probably even legally build this Mosque overlooking Ground Zero and noone will be able to stop them. But don't think most Americans are fooled as to their intent in doing so. It isn't to build bridges or heal wounds. Don't think we are fooled as to where the money to build it will come from. Or what will go on in that mosque once it is built. You might be, but most of us won't be.

It may be a right, but Obama doesn't have to endorse the building of this mosque. As one talk show host recently said, this mosque is just a ring side seat to what much of the islamic world views as a great victory over the Great Satan. That's why they've named it the Cordoba Mosque. Does Obama not know the history of that name? Or is he just Stuck On Stupid and doesn't know that it's a Muslim practice to build mosques on the sites of historic conquests … a tradition that began with the building of the Cordoba Mosque in Spain on the site of a former Christian church to commemorate the Muslim conquest of Spain?

He didn't endorse it. He reiterated some of the founding principles of this country. You have a problem with that?

Cordoba mosque was built to commemorate conquest?
But it was purchased, and built over 100 years after the conquest.
It would be a far more honest portrayal to say that King Ferdinand turning the mosque into a cathedral after his conquest was a commemoration.

Can you point to an Islamic source that shares your view of the Cordoba Mosque? Unless you hold that any mosque built within 1000 years of a conquest will forever be a sign of that conquest, then you're simply talking out of your bum.
 
Obama is trying to look nice to muslims but what he should do is to reconize the right of palestinians. Concerning that tax, to go without eating, this is what Jesus Christ said: Contemporary english version:

What Jesus Christ said is that human doesn't have obligation or tax. You eat what you want, you go without eating when you want, you dress like you want, you pray when you want, you wash when you want, you work when you want. And these text say is that you don't mix what comes from God and devil but you should treat them separately. And he also said that when you go without eating nobody should know but yourself, he said that you should not boast.

You guys know that fundamental muslims don't give a crap about the US constitution. They are just taking advantage of our weakness and are probably laughing at us all the way to the mosque. We need a stronger president... but I know most of you will probably disagree so carry on.

Kind of like christians in the US care about the constitution when it comes to things like prayer in public schools etc., etc., etc.?
