What, killing? That seems to be your attitude indeed.
1969-1989.
1973-1987.
ICC(SS). USS Pollack (SSN-603), USS Guardfish (SSN-612) and decomm crew of the USS George Washington (SSBN-598).
Or, just another officially-sanctioned killer.
Sheesh. You kill Commies, he complains. You don't kill Commies, he complains. You kill Nazis, he . . .

My Dad killed quite a few Nazis,he did his bit to wipe that pestilence from the Earth.
Ooh, listen to Mr. Big Shot, whose dad actually figured out how to use his weapon!![]()
My great uncle was on his way to go kill some but he got seasick so they sent him back. Um, yes, he was signed up in the Navy although the province he's from is landlocked.
Someone might have wanted to check that first.
My dad used to kill Nazis.
Or, he would have, if he could ever have gotten his machine gun to work.

My Grandad was on the Western Front in the First War. Horse Artillery. My Great Uncle was at Jutland. My Uncle artin was in the Med and also in the Battle of the River Plate. My Uncle Harold was in the first wave on D-Day as an RAF FOO.
My dad did 25 years in the RN and left as a Chief Engineering Office (Equiv of a Captain).I did 12 years and left as a Leading Seaman. I served on AS Frigates and Destroyers.
My great-grandfather and his brother weren't yet citizens of the US when they volunteered to fight for it in 1917, against the country they had just left. My great-granddad died a few years later from ailments due to exposure to gas. Members of both sides of my family fought during WWII mainly in the Pacific. One became career Navy, serving IIRC on both Enterprises before retiring as Master Chief in the late 70s.My Grandad was on the Western Front in the First War. Horse Artillery. Nice story. You should fix up the hyperlinks, though.![]()
Fail. First we discussed German peace proposals from end September/begin October, so after the conquest of Poland. Then you came with your Irving lie from begin September, so after the invasion. And now you come with a meeting of 27 August, so before the invasion.
Need a hand with those goal posts?
Why did he let the British army go at Dunkirk?
Why did he offer the British peace, twice, after Poland fell, and again after France fell?
What then are the aims of the Reich Government as regards the adjustment of conditions within the territory to the west of the German-Soviet line of demarcation which has been recognized as Germany's sphere of influence?
- First, the creation of a Reich frontier which, as has already been emphasized, shall be in accordance with existing historical, ethnographical and economic conditions.
- Second, the disposition of the entire living space according to the various nationalities; that is to say, the solution of the problems affecting the minorities which concern not only this area but nearly all the States in the Southwest of Europe.
- Third, in this connection: An attempt to reach a solution and settlement of the Jewish problem.
- Fourth, reconstruction of transport facilities and economic life in the interest of all those living in this area.
- Fifth, a guarantee for the security of this entire territory and sixth, formation of a Polish State so constituted and governed as to prevent its becoming once again either a hotbed of anti-German activity or a center of intrigue against Germany and Russia.
It's too bad that I was born 40 years after the fact. Killing nazis would have been great fun.
One of my profs at Purdue left Nasty Germany in 1937 and went to Palestine with his family. In 1939 he joined the Jewish Brigade of the British Army. He fought in North Africa and Italy until the end of the war. He later taught at Sandhurst, where he was John Keegan's lead professor. One thing he told me that I remember well:
"Killing Nazis was a good idea then. And it's still a good idea."
1. First you are going to do some killing in Iran, that has already has been decided upon by your masters. They think that killing holocaust denying Iranians is a good idea.
2. Next the Chinese are going to dump the dollar, because they will not like it that their premier oil supplier will be bombed to pieces. Collapse of the dollar will result of this.
3. Next foodstamp America will arise and you are going to sink back to 1990 Ukraine levels.
