What does that mean? Or is it just to have the last word in this thread? ;)

As for the UN inquiry, good that Israel is not going along with the farce inquiry that the UN human rights committee set up that even Ban Ki-Moon is ignoring as irrelevant.

Kuwait news is a bit off as well JJ (surprise, surprise!). Only IDF officers are barred from being directly interviewed (as would be the case with any country's military), not civilians.

This dude is the vice chair. I don't think he could stuff the investigation if he tried.

FARC are hardly "freedom fighters" and as much as I find Uribe distasteful he has markedly improved conditions and security in Colombia.

Video proves Zoabi knew activists armed
Video footage proving that MK Haneen Zoabi (Balad) knew that IHH activsts aboard the Mavi Marmara were armed with metal pipes was released by Army Radio on Wednesday.

Zoabi, who was aboard the Gaza-bound ship which was part of a flotilla that aimed to break Israel's blockade of the coastal territory, had previously claimed that she was not aware that the activists were armed. The members of the Turkish organization subsequently clashed violently with IDF naval commandos.

Zoabi can be seen in one of the video clips standing side by side with IHH members armed with metal pipes while IDF soldiers attempt to take command of the ship's lower deck. She can later be heard arguing with IDF commanders in an attempt to prevent them from evacuating a seriously injured man. She had previously stated that she helped IDF forces evacuate injured from the ship.

Despite the footage, Zoabi insisted in an interview with Army Radio on Wednesday that she was unaware that the IHH activists were armed. She claimed that she believed the metal pipes the men possessed were standard ship equipment and not weapons to be used against soldiers.
Zoabi lying. Surprise, surprise...

Israeli military chief defends Gaza flotilla raid:

The military's main mistake, [Lieutenant-General Gabi Ashkenazi, the Israeli military chief of staff] said, was to assume there were only 10-15 people on the deck of the Mavi Marmara. "We thought we could throw stun grenades, clear (the passengers) and then fast-rope soldiers on to the boat.

What an idiot!

Is the IDF really this dumb and incompetent?

That's funny, I didn't see you post any warnings before hand that there were too many people on the boat. You seem to imply it should have been known. Why didn't you warn people?

How many other flotillas carry 600 people while claiming to be carrying humanitarian supplies? You're right, it was stupid to assume the "peace activists" had good intentions. Thank you for agreeing with us that they were not peace activists and had such bad intentions.

It would be stupid to assume they were actually there for peaceful purposes. One would be incompetent to think these activists were peaceful.

If the IDF came in with more force, they would be SS-like thugs who were out there to kill the peace activists.

Now that they came in with less force, they're incompetent idiots who didn't realize they would meet murderous resistance from the gang of terrorists on the ship.

Welcome to the logic of the far-far-left.

It's a simple formula. If they come in with a lot of force, they are immoral animals. If they use little force, they are incompetent and dumb.

Sure, no-one had a clue how many people were on those boats, least of all Israeli military planners!

Just browsing through. Israel is on a hiding to nothing. No matter what this inquiry finds, Israel is the bad guys. They are damned if they do and damned if they don't.

Meanwhile Iran is going full speed ahead with their nuclear technology and most of the press ignore it.

Why do you think stunts like these are committed in the first place?

In order to deflect attention from Iran. Not a surprise that Turkey is now refusing to abide by the sanctions imposed on Iran, ie continuing (refined) fuel sales to Iran among other things, and now with the LFA attack against the IDF, another deflection from the Hariri investigation into Syrian/Iranian involvement in the assassination plot, Turkey is vying to replace the US in arms sales to the LFA.

All another day at the office.

You know, a lot of white supremacists (read: Stormfront) argue the same way and they're from the far-far-right.

Just sayin'.
