Is there really a "Journolist?"

It's humorous to watch folks carry water for MSNBC or for FOX ... when they are essentially mirror images of one another.

Fox commits errors of commission (deliberately misrepresenting news or inventing it) and MSNBC commits errors of omission (not telling the full story/eliminating dissenting views).

Take your pick ... or better yet, find a more trustworthy source of information. It shouldn't be too difficult.

That's taking it much too far. The liberal journalists were calling for Vilsack's and Breitbart's heads.

Faux News still hasn't admitted that they were wrong to take the word of a lying sociopath like Breitbart.

Since you only watch MSNBC, you must have missed O'Reilly's apoogy to Shirely, just as Skeptic Ginger did.

e-mail list, called "JournoList," set up by the Washington Post's Ezra Klein.

"Sarah Spitz, public radio producer, expressed a desire to stand by laughing as Rush Limbaugh expired from a heart attack, blogger Spencer Ackerman's fantasizes about shoving conservative pundits through plate-glass windows."

"Some JournoList members talked about getting the FCC to shut down Fox News, or about denying web traffic to rivals deemed too conservative."

"The Daily Caller. Washington Post blogger David Weigel had to resign over some intemperate posts he made - including a wish that Matt Drudge would set himself on fire."

"Jonathan Stein of Mother Jones rejected an early draft, saying, “I’d say too short. In my opinion, it doesn’t go far enough in highlighting the inanity of some of [Gibson's] and [Stephanopoulos’s] questions. And it doesn’t point out their factual inaccuracies …Our friends at Media Matters probably have tons of experience with this sort of thing, if we want their input.”

All you have is a bunch of liberals expressing ill will toward a bunch of rightwing idiots. You still do not have them lying with malice aforethought like Faux and Breitbart.

I see you are not supporting this with any facts in the "right really is worse than the left" thread.

Having a political point of view is not the same as total dishonesty to support that view.

And the only FOX News person who showed the Breitbart clip on air (2 hours after the official announcement and 5 hours after Shirley said she was fired by the White House) was O'Reilly, and he apologized to Shirley. You must have missed that.
Give me a break. Fox has a slick story feigning innocence on this one. Had the facts taken a day or more longer to come to light, Fox would have been hawking the story night and day just like they have with every other fake story they've promoted. And had the hawked the Sherrod story they wouldn't have stopped after the fraud came to light, because that's what they do.

Fox just switched gears fast enough to get away with trying to make the story about the administration's over-hasty reaction instead of about Fox's propaganda machinery.

Where did you get this crap? I saw O'Reilly's apology. I also saw him add that Sherrod's audience was supposedly racist.

I saw a lot of that sort of behavior when I was in college, majoring in Special Education. It's called "confabulation."

The videos were almost immediately shown to put Sherrod in a good light, once the whole story was known, but the mentally defective weasels at Faux News still insisted that they had proof that somebody influential and hostile to the GOP and their policies, were a bunch of flaming racists.

Would have? The prospect of dealing with actuality instead of potentiality is too horrible for you to realize.

Beck supported Shirley on his show. Why didn't he do what you say he would have done?

What is this "fake" news FOX News reporters have reported? Have you been under the treatment of Dr. Dean?

Beck supported Shirley on his show. Why didn't he do what you say he would have done?

By the time it was Beck's turn to crap on Sherrod, the scheme had gone sour and he had to attack the secondary target. The idiot gets no points for not joining the gang stomp after the trick failed.

What is this "fake" news FOX News reporters have reported?

They were all over the Breitbart lies about ACORN. They even had the pimp boy on there in his P.J. O'Roule version of a pimp outfit saying that that was how he was dressed when he went into the ACORN offices, which is an utter lie, which only a freaking moron would believe if he had watched the videos of pimp and ho going into the offices with the bimbo wearing the chichilla coat and no walking stick of fruity sunglasses to be seen.

Faux News bimbos are incredibly stupid little critters. About as observant as passed-out junkies.

They were all over the Breitbart lies about ACORN.

What lies? The same ones the liberal New York Times endorsed?

Conservatives Draw Blood From Acorn

Even when the NYT tried to spin the actual new worthy ACORN corruption story, they had to correct the spin.....SIX MONTHS LATER

Correction: March 23, 2010

Several articles since September about the troubles of the community organizing group Acorn referred incorrectly or imprecisely to one aspect of videotaped encounters between Acorn workers and two conservative activists that contributed to the group’s problems.

In the encounters, the activists posed as a prostitute and a pimp and discussed prostitution with the workers. But while footage shot away from the offices shows one activist, James O’Keefe, in a flamboyant pimp costume, there is no indication that he was wearing the costume while talking to the Acorn workers.

The errors occurred in articles on Sept. 16 and Sept. 19, 2009, and on Jan. 31 of this year. Because of an editing error, the mistake was repeated in an article in some copies on Saturday.

Acorn Report Raises Issues of Legality

I know you are more attracted to Helen Thomas. Do you miss her presence in the White House Press Room?

There is nothing there to indicate that sludge boy Breitbart did not lie his butt off.

I know you are more attracted to Helen Thomas. Do you miss her presence in the White House Press Room?

Oh, geeeeze! That is a tough one. would I rather listen to a woman who looks her age and has the courage to ask a self-important poppinjay tough questions or a cute brainless bimbo willing to kiss up to the Boner and McConnell? Or maybe Ann Coul.....GURCK!

Yeah. I miss Helen.

There is nothing there to indicate that sludge boy Breitbart did not lie his butt off.

Then it perfectly matches your post where there was nothing to indicate that Brietbart did lie about ACORN.

Would you care to provide evidence where Breitbart "lied" about ACORN?

Yeah. I miss Helen.

Of course you do. How could you resist a women whose ideology and comments matched her countenance for gruesomeness.

RABBI DAVID NESSENOFF: Any comments on Israel....

HELEN THOMAS: Tell them to get the hell out of Palestine.

NESSENOFF: Ooh. Any better comments?

THOMAS: Remember, these people are occupied and it's their land. It's not German. It's not Poland.

NESSENOFF: So where should they go? What should they do?

THOMAS: They can go home.

NESSENOFF: Where's their home?

THOMAS: Poland. Germany.

"The day Dick Cheney is going to run for president, I'll kill myself. All we need is one more liar." Helen Thomas, 2005, The Hill

“What I really worry about is that I think the bloggers and everyone, everyone with a laptop thinks they’re journalists,” Thomas said. “And, they certainly don’t have our standards. They don’t have our ethics, and so forth. There’s a deterioration,” she continued. “Reporters laid down on the job in the run up to this [the Iraq] war.” Helen Thomas

http://businessandmedia.org/articles...105141332.aspx

Bloggers don't have her "standards" or "ethics?" Wow! That's a low bar to limbo under.

"Slate's media critic Jack Shafer, for example, complained that Helen doesn't ask questions, she gives speeches, and that "she ends up taking the air out of the room for intelligent criticism of the president and helps make the press corps look like a Saturday Night Live skit."

Helen Thomas: I'm a liberal, I was born a liberal, I'll be one 'til I die, what else should a reporter be when you see so much and when we have such great privilege and access to the truth?"

CBC Interviewer: "Well, you know, it's interesting because I'm sure that if somebody from the right was sitting here they would say... if you ask the question what should a reporter be they will say, "Oh, I don't know, How about objective?"

Helen Thomas: "You're not asking people not to think not to care are you? But you are asking them to give a fair reporting both sides and so forth and I did it for 57 years I was never, never accused of bias in my copy. But I had a right to be angry and unhappy at the trend that I saw in my country that I was close enough to see."

Then it perfectly matches your post where there was nothing to indicate that Brietbart did lie about ACORN.

Would you care to provide evidence where Breitbart "lied" about ACORN?

The dirtbag said that every office that the pimp and sleaze visited was eager to help them. TOTAL lie.

HELEN THOMAS: Tell them to get the hell out of Palestine.

NESSENOFF: Ooh. Any better comments?

THOMAS: Remember, these people are occupied and it's their land. It's not German. It's not Poland.

Wasn't that in a context to do with the illegal West Bank settlements? What's the problem?

"The day Dick Cheney is going to run for president, I'll kill myself. All we need is one more liar." Helen Thomas, 2005, The Hill

What's wrong with thinking that Cheney is a disgusting excuse for a human being?

“What I really worry about is that I think the bloggers and everyone, everyone with a laptop thinks they’re journalists,” Thomas said. “And, they certainly don’t have our standards. They don’t have our ethics, and so forth.

Nicely encapsulates the slime like Breitbart, don't you think? (Silly me! I should know better than to ask someone who just defended Breitbart's integrity that.)Helen Thomas: I'm a liberal, I was born a liberal, I'll be one 'til I die, what else should a reporter be when you see so much and when we have such great privilege and access to the truth?"[/[/QUOTE]

Reality has a liberal bias. That's why the right wing invented Faux News.

Reality has a liberal bias.

Are you aware that you are quoting Stephen Colbert's in character parody of a pundit? It has all the authority and genuineness of the character who spoke it

That's why the right wing invented Faux News.

More like it was started because the alternatives were only liberal slanted TV and cable media. It is wildly successful because the alternatives were only liberal slanted TV and cable media.

There was no liberal media. It was always corporate owned. They just couldn't get away with lying as easily back then. Faux changed that. The reason it was created was that they needed at least one "news" outlet to say that supply-side woo had a chance in hell of working.

Since you are a true believer liberal, aside from FOX, have you ever criticized any of these corporate owned liberal TV/cable media outlets? It would be great if you could recall some of your favorite lies the corporate owned liberal media reported and is still reporting.

FOX News didn't hit the air waves until 1996. That's seven years after Reagan was POTUS. A little late to be a cheerleader for Reaganomics
