BS, How do you know that? I could not care less about to whom belongs Alsace, Silesia, Flanders, etc. I only care about European unity and kicking Britain out of the EU. Hey, even Hitler was not interested in Alsace/Lorraine!!! Ethnically these territories were originaly German for centuries, but they were French (by conquest) for more than 2 centuries and that is a long time, comparable to the lifespan of the US. Not that I consider the US to be a real nation...

The annexatation was a disaster for Germany. Bismarck was right in having very grave doubts about it. It ensured that relations between France and Germany would be poisoned.

The Jews from Amsterdam did not 'leave on a whim', they were deported. That means that their houses were confiscated or occupied by new tenants and their businesses had already been closed down before the deportations when they went into hiding. There was nothing to return to after the war. The entire community had vanished.

So far the Jews are only being accused of bringing the USA into WW1.

Wikipedia says:
On 28 June 1914, Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria, heir presumptive to the Austro-Hungarian throne, and his wife, Sophie, Duchess of Hohenberg, were shot dead in Sarajevo, by Gavrilo Princip, one of a group of six Bosnian Serb armed members of the nationalist movement Young Bosnia.

I have no reason to assume that Princip was Jewish, unless you have other information.

I am looking forward to the repetition of nein/11 guy's argument that as Poland didn't exist before 1918, German aggression against it was entirely justified. It'll come.

Ah, now I understand!

I missed that because Uzzy is on my ignore list after he was openly wishing for my dear old parents to be killed. Only a miserable character from rainy pest hole Hull-England can come up with these tactics of hitting under the belt in this way. But we all know how they are, either:
a) throw as many bombs as possible on children from 10 km altitude.
b) gloriously advancing towards the Channel if the resistance on the ground is too stiff.
c) torturing a German in order to make him confess a mega-crime he did not commit.
d) cheering in a Austrian mountain hotel for Argentina, Cameroon, Kazakstan, whatever, if Germany is the opponent. English are not European and never will be.
