By dressing like...however she was dressed of course. Mr. Gibson was quite clear.

I imagine it was some kind of bondage outfit, with the rear cut out, and a little sign "Free admittance for Negros."

Otherwise Mr. Gibson would have been hyperbolic and irrational, and that simply flies in the face of his established character.

Given Mr. Gibson's extensive acting career, perhaps he was simply afraid she would be assaulted by a group of people responsible for ropes, booms and lifts in the theatre. I don't know if riggers typically travel in packs, or are normally likely to rape young women, but I am prepared to accept Mr. Gibson's superior knowledge on the matter.
 
Other possibilities for Mr. Gibson's fears.

Gangs of:

Diggers (road crews)
Jiggers (Crazed hillbillies)
Piggers (Fat people)
Tiggers (Disney character stand ins)
Viggers (Mafia numbers men)
Wiggers (Vanilla Ice's crew)
Yiggers (Worshippers of the Great Old One)
Ziggers (People who like to move with random, jerky patterns as they walk)


I'd like to see rape statistics for all of these groups before judging Mr. Gibson.

Hmm. I find your scenario, while imaginative, a bit too elaborate. More likely she just asked him point-blank: "Honey, does this dress make me look like a ******* pig in heat, to such an embarrassing degree that it would be my fault if I was raped by a pack of *******?"

You know how women are about their clothes.

I'd say Sainthood can't be far off. Saint Mel, has a nice holy ring to it (Saint Gibson is too stuffy).

It was 2 miracles, and a time delay, but they dropped the delay and lowered the bar to 1 miracle.

Thank you Saint Teresa, you prepared them for his coming. Perhaps that was her real mission on Earth?

Agreed. Even if all the accusations about Oksana leaking the tape is true, all it proves is that they are both scumbags. It doesn not let Gibson off the hook for his language..which is pretty damn obnoxious.
It is when you are angry that people often reveal their true selves..and that little "raped by *******" remark says a lot about who Gibson is deep down.
ANd throw Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, who are both already milking this for all it's worth, into that description.

You forgot the History of Scotland..although somehow I think the actual William Wallace did not look much like what Mel gave us.

That is exactly the reaction I have nearly every time I try to read the politics forum.

That is, when it's about someone or something that goes against my ideological beliefs. Which is most of the time around here.

And then I feel that overwhelming desire to say "and you call yourselves skeptics!" as well.

And if it's like a UK court case Gibsons lawyers would also have access to them or copies, so the list of suspects who could have leaked them are:

The woman
Mel Gibson
Court employee
Employees of her
Employees of him
Anyone on her legal team
Anyone on his legal team

Quite a long list of people....

ETA: And if copies were made they could have been made by a 3rd party so that's even more possible suspects.

If he's waiting to adopt any African-American kids, he probably just got moved to the back of the line; Jewish babysitting gigs likely still on hold; his love-child? -- not disqualified so much as a mark against his character in the court's eyes, I'd think.

And FWIW, leaking a taped private conversation is pretty low.
