Evidence for why we know the New Testament writers told the truth.

Not only will you win your case against those evil purveyors of antithetical logic courses, the judge should award you millions in punitive damages after he sees the evidence in this thread.

Hey! This thread is evidence for something after all!

Could we make it a class action suit on the basis of the pain and suffering we've all experienced?

Meh; we keep coming back on our own accord. So, whatever suffering we are going through is mostly self-inflicted...

Oh, fine, squelch my frivolous lawsuit at the moment of its conception. I was just trying to make a little money for the good people of this thread, but noooo. DOC still has a case, though.

I am still a little surprised that DOC missed the point about the maid and the beating of servants/slaves without due process.

The point about things getting out of hand if left to individual sadism with no checks in place.

You obviously don't know him very well.

Perhaps I am a hopeless optimist.
This were something not strictly god related, but rather into unbalanced employer/employee relationships.
Doc is able to operate a computer and should have cognitive abilities, even if not demonstrated on god related subject.

Well - I've learnt something from this thread:

Evidence is what ancient writers thought/assumed/guessed, as long as they agree with my prejudices, regardless of how much they could actually prove.

It'll take some getting used to...

The 'we' in the thread title does not refer to everyone, just a select extremely gullible few, who have low standards for what constitutes evidence. There doesn't have to be an argument about the evidence not being sufficient, the op just wanted everyone to know how little it took to convince them. Everyone has different standards of proof required for belief.

But actually the number of posts I have made (over 1900) is something to think about.
Yeah... it's sad
Could a Scientologist legitimately defend their religion against 250 skeptics in a 326 page thread with 13,000 posts in it. How about a Muslim, or a Buddhist, or Jew. I know of no one in these religions that has defended their religion against hundreds of skeptics with cold facts for 20 pages much less 326.
You missed 'Christian'... Why? Are you pretending that you have 'defended your woo'?
Whether you agree with me or not, one has to seriously consider the fact that I have so much information to support my claims.
No

You have do NOT have ANY info... you have nonsense... and lots of it

In reading posts from DOC in this thread, I was reminded of something I read many years ago. (Don't ask. :))

It was in MAD magazine, and was the story of Davy Crockett. The title was, 'True stories from the legendary past'.

:)

So has scientology, and mormonism.

You, haven't read all my posts

I have, and as amb points out, we have nothing at all of Jesus besides the N/T, and despite your promise, we have no evidence whatsoever that the NT writers told the truth.

If anything, you've highlighted the fictional nature of those 'accounts' and made it abundantly clear that lies and ignorance are the only means available to perpetuate the nonsense.

Well done.

bwa ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!!

I'm not sure whether I find it comical or frightening to think that DOC actually believes that he has in any way supported his claims.

I suppose since he's a long way away from me I can feel safe in going with 'comical' but still, that's a serious level of delusion.

The only response to that kind of nonsense is derision. he thinks beating servants is acceptable. his opinion is worthless.

Looks like DOC is doing what everyone else predicted. "The length of this thread is proof I have so much evidence to support my claims."

Never mind that the entire thread is full of nothing but requests that he present this evidence, of course.

How's that "Bearing False Witness" thing workin' out for you, DOC? After all, Jesus says it's OK to lie as long as you do it for Jesus.
