Amanda Knox guilty - all because of a cartwheel

Then how did they know Meredith's door was locked?

It's more a handle than a knob (there was a photo a couple pages back). One could test it with the inside of their hand rather than their fingertips. Also, by the time the police got around to testing it (assuming they did) they themselves had touched it, too.

?????????????????

I am undecided, Fulcanelli. I will listen to her as much as yourself. I believe she believes Amanda is innocent and feels she is doing the right thing by supporting that cause on this discussion board. Perhaps I will listen to you a bit harder, as you have something I want as well as I don't think Amanda is completely innocent.

Mary's belief is unfounded. This is the crux of the problem here.

I'd have no problem believing in Amanda's innocence if the evidence pointed to her innocence. So far, all anyone in the Pro-Amanda's-an-angel crowd has been able to do is throw mud hoping some of it sticks. There has not been a single compelling reason to ignore/throwout any of the evidence pointing to Amanda's guilt. The closest is the knife DNA - but even that evidence is validated by Raffaele's diary.

I think it is more of a case of reductionism. Each of these things taken individually can possibly be explained requiring a bit of a stretch in some cases. Taken with all of the other evidence, it would require a stretch, a cartwhell or two, and perhaps an Olympic gymnastics routine.

Sophistry goes beyond reductionism. This isn't reductionism, it's sophistry...debate in bad faith. And we are not discussing a favourite sports team here, or something of little fundamental consequence...but the brutal rape and murder of a young innocent victim, Meredith Kercher. There's NO excuse for that. Please don't make excuses for her behaviour. I only hope nobody ever rapes and murders one of Mary's daughters, sisters, or mother...and then have a fan club go online to make the sort of asinine offensive arguments in their defence Mary has been making. People like Mary want to make Meredith a victim all over again, all to save their precious angel Amanda. They don't give a damn whether she actually did it or not.

However, I think she has confirmed in the minds of many of us, that Amanda is currently in the right place...where she belongs.

Here is some new information about the footprints, Rose:

Anything about what is the "fault" of the police does not follow from what I wrote.

There is no more evidence for the claim that the police asked Amanda what she did the night of the 1st than there is evidence that they did not. Once they had been informed Amanda had spent the night at Raffaele's, they would have no reason to ask her what she did there.

Especially if she was not a suspect.

You really don't have a clue, do you?

I guess we disagree on the "debate in bad faith" part. There is a certain amount of spin from both extreme positions. I think she believes Amanda is innocent and is debating from that position. I believe some of her arguments fall flat, perhaps because it is very possible she may be wrong about that innocent thing.

Thanks, Mary H. If you have been reading at View From Wilmington, you may be aware that I have posted some criticism of Steve Moore's posts. I will however look at this one and try to do so without bias.

I haven't been reading the comments at View from Wilmington but I will.

Rudy didn't lock the door, as proven by the evidence. Any and every court will find so.

Can anyone point me to a forum where there is evidence of the door and doorknob? I hate to rehash this subject if it has been discussed thoroughly before on this thread, however, I have a few questions:

1. Do we have a photo of the Meredith's doorknob?

2. Could the bedroom door only be locked with a key?

3. Were there separate keys for the bedroom door and front door?

4. Did any of the flatmates' keys fit Meredith's bedroom door?

5. Do we have any information whether Meredith carried both her bedroom key and house key together?

Why does he insist on using the same old bleach argument. I thought its been shown many times now that bleach dissipates and no longer has an effect on luminol after a certain length of time, 48 hours or so. If this is true, and unfortunately I can't post links to articles I've read yet, then he is being very disingenuous. The reaction is not being produced by bleach if applied after that much time has gone by.

Are you then going to argue Raffaele's apartment was full of blood when they searched it on November 13th?

There's been one posted here, the same one as in the PMF gallery. Once you see it, you'll be laughing out loud at Mary's twisting basketball player practicing his fouling out strategy while locking it.

It's another in a long line of howlers including the mystery of entering Filomena's self-ransacked room through the window without leaving any trace of having done so.

Mary's grand contribution to this thread, so far, has been that RG played basketball. I can only assume that, in her mind, basketball players are magical creatures like leprechauns and angels.

I'm sorry I can't post links but this is what I remember seeing. I'm sure someone else can post the picture.

There is a photo. I have seen it, perhaps on PMF. The handle is a brass lever style with a keyhole on the plate which is attached to the door. There was blood on the handle inside Meredith's room but none on the outside handle.
This type of handle can only be locked with a key, there is no thumbturn or push button.

Good point. The only thing I am certain about with this case is simply that nothing is certain. Had his cleaning lady just been by? cleaning with bleach? hence the glow.

Luminol also reacts with urine and fecal matter. Weren't the traces found at Rafaelle's concentrated in the bathroom? Perhaps he missed alot.

If I recall his cleaning lady was quoted as saying she never used bleach. Steve Moore says 2 almost full bottles of bleach were found.

I didn't realize it reacted with urine. That's interesting because a LOT of people secretly piss in the shower.

Well, when ya gotta go, ya gotta go...

A change of subject for anyone that wants to help me, but I have heard it mentioned by different folks that Rudy Guede was an informer for the police. Does anyone know more?
I think Bruce Fisher mentioned previously that he has some info.
I think RoseMontague was even asking about that the other day also...
Anyone?
Thanks, RWVBWL
