Love the Christian, but not the Christianity.

All of us have biological drives to do things that are sinful; all of us are expected to refrain.
No

For starters, 'sinful' is so vague as to be meaningless in a critical thinking discussion

Likewise 'expected to refrain'... expected by whom/what? Some mythical sky daddy?
I'm sorry, what discussion are you having? We were having a discussion about Christianity.
Again... NO

Try reading the OP:

Well, I wonder how Christians would feel about the slogan I just came up with in the title.

Note that, unless you think (or believe) that christians can't feel anything without waffling on about 'sin' and 'deference to their mythical sky daddy', you are derailing this thread with woo

God is as powerful and as benevolent as it is possible for a Being to be. God is capable of doing anything that his Nature would cause Him to do. Every action God takes is designed to maximally benefit everyone.

How arrogant and prideful this is. What hubris to make this claim.

5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and he was not found, because God translated him: for he hath had witness borne to him that before his translation he had been well-pleasing unto God:

The SAB is wrong that is not in the bible see below it takes it out of context and assumes something that isn’t there. If that’s where you got that line.

13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them and greeted them from afar, and having confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

Enoch isn’t in the world so you could consider him dead to the world.
He was taken up body and soul the only one on that list, hebrews 11:13 which I can’t find because that’s not how it’s written.

This is what you should be concentrating on.
6But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

In a sense that is what you are doing even in an atheistic way.
As Far as the op, as long as you are grown up and not messing with children and influencing them to follow your lead and keeping it private, sex is all in the mind.

Probably how it is in heaven, a total blending of spiritual minds something even higher than earthly sex.
Pure joy with out the dirt.
Two parents are better than none I guess as far as marriage of the same sex and adoption.
I’m not going to judge but I do follow the rules because I am a believer.

I'm already in enough trouble.

To be clear, who do you believe go to hell? Adulterers? Greedy people? Thieves? Murderers? Just those people who didn't accept Jesus Christ as their personal savior? Or is there some other criteria?

I believe sinners go to Hell, unless they accept Christ's sacrifice for their sins.

I'd like the Thousand Island dressing with the following word salad ...

Try to tell that to anybody's genitals.

Many people don't do it in the dirt.

You aren't bringing an A game to the discussion. Hit the range for a while longer.

Including giving children cancer? Why?

Again... YES.

Dearest avvie - do not try to herd cats. Ah, hell, feel free to try.

I have found it better to watch the antics of the insane from a safe distance.

Your religious beliefs are insipid, delusional, and unworthy of man.

Your proselytizing is tiresome, even though I can understand why you want to bring us all down to your level.

Can't you peddle your crazy elsewhere? Why not in the Sports forum - I never go there.

Sigh. Are you doing this on purpose? I asked some fairly simple questions. Can you really not give straightforward answers?

Here, I'll make it even easier. Answer these yes-or-no questions.

Is being homosexual a sin?
Is homosexual sex (as in sexual acts between two men or two women) a sin?
Is having sex outside of marriage a sin?
Can a person who commits no sin, but does not embrace Jesus as their saviour go to heaven?
Will a person who has had homosexual sex, but regrets it, and embraces Jesus as their saviour go to heaven?
Will a person who regularly has homosexual sex, but regrets it, and embraces Jesus as their saviour go to heaven?
Will a person who regularly has homosexual sex, but does not regret it, but still embraces Jesus as their saviour, go to heaven?
Will a person who regularly has homosexual sex, but commits no other sin, and also does not embrace Jesus as their saviour, go to heaven?
Is there a sin so grave it cannot be atoned for, and will always lead to being thrown to hell?

I'm giving honest answers. I don't know what more you want.

As best I can, answers below.

Will a person who has had homosexual sex, but regrets it, and embraces Jesus as their saviour go to heaven? Probably.
Will a person who regularly has homosexual sex, but regrets it, and embraces Jesus as their saviour go to heaven? Probably not.

Judge not, lest ye not be judged.” (Matthew 7:1)
Keep reading. I challenge you to find and explain this verse's context.

Do you really think it logical that Jesus Christ came to instruct us not to discern right from wrong and good from evil?

Yeah, maybe I'm idealizing him by thinking he would have had something profound to offer us. Given the times he would probably be at a loss to deal with someone who didn't accept his basic premise already.

Jesus preached mainly to his own people, and occasionally to specific believers nearby. It would make sense to assume that, if he were here today, he would mainly be speaking to Christians (or, arguably, Jews) and others for whom His message would be likely to do good.
Paul went to Athens to reason with the philosophers; Jesus never did.

how do you reconcile this:

with this:

?

By the way, how do I quote a post without that post's quotes going away?

Part of becoming a follower of Jesus is turning away from your sin. Someone who claims to follow Jesus but continues in their sinful ways is "probably not" following Jesus at all.
It's more than just a decision; it's a change in behavior.

Maybe he thought you should worry about your own sin and let him make the call on who goes where after they die. Maybe he thought that it would be counterproductive to tell people they would go to hell if they don't agree with you...see, to anyone who doesn't already believe what you're selling, it just sounds like an argument ad baculum, aka 'agree with me or else'.

Yeah, that's exactly what I told my oncologist when he tried to scam me with that "tumor" nonsense -- that he was trying to coerce me into agreeing with him.

What would you think of a person who doesn't know you well, hasn't examined you, hasn't established that they're an oncologist, and has a vested interest in getting you to agree to treatment trying to convince you that you have cancer?
