Limbaugh gets sick of Beck getting all the attention, so...

Yeah, because a resolution with a dozen conditions and steps is exactly the same as a declaration of war. Oh, wait... no it isn't.

And have you noticed how there is a discussion over whether the war with Iraq was even legal, while there is no similar discussion over the war with Japan.

Yes, and that was effectively the last time it happened. The only time that Congress has ever voted to go to war was when it was beyond argument and there was no other choice. But when it comes to more risky situations, they are not going to because it will hurt them politically if it goes bad.

My lawyer, an arch-liberal and a Fullbright scholar, says it was exactly a Declaration of War. Sorry. Plenty to criticize, but this isn't part of that.

Playbook Page 19:

Take something Rush Limbaugh says on the radio in radio format.

Transcript it to plain text to remove all tone.

Post it with incredulity.

Predict someone will say "oh, thats just a joke" to poison the well.

Watch the easily predictable group dynamics come into play.
a. people who figure he would say something like that seriously post their "ugh" messages
b. people who realize it is a joke avoid posting to avoid looking like they support such a polarizing figure
c. people who like Limbaugh post in his defense thereby confirming the suspicions of group a.

d. people aren't as stupid and predictable as you think. Patronizing b.s. duly noted.

Yea, having kids of your own gives you a new perspective on topics such as abortion, especially partial-birth abortion, and other vile left-wing dogma. Such as...want to help protect your kids from a home invasion by having a firearm? Many places where the lefties won't let you.

As a father of 4 kids, my perspective changed from a young starry-eyed liberal to a staunch conservative over a few decades. Older and wiser.

Hilarious. Starry-eyed liberal here, didn't change much after my two kids and 34 years on the planet. The only thing that changed since my kids were born was that I started calling myself an atheist instead of an agnostic. I still think gays should marry, abortion should be legal, let's see...what else puts me in your "lefty" camp...

The comments about vile left wing dogma and firearm control makes me wonder how "starry-eyed" you were though. You sound like a Clinton era conservative--don't you know most Democrats dropped the gun rights issue like a bad habit after Clinton? Look around, most states are shall-carry these days. And dammit, Obama still hasn't raised ammo prices 400%. As a gun owning, gun carrying NRA member, I was really looking forward to those $100 boxes of 9mm.

Try re-reading the thread from the start. Then you can apologize in a PM to save face.

Tried it, didn't see what you are referring to. If I'm wrong, I was only kidding around.

I'm an atheist, I think gay marriage is OK, I don't like abortions but I believe they should be legal. So according to you I'm a "lefty"?

BTW, your only 34. Check back in at 45-50 years old, when you have to pay for your kids college. I bet you'll be more conservative.

Always a good thing to do with 2 kids in the house:boggled:

According to teabaggers you are.

As far as kid's college, and "only being 34", I'm pretty good about saving money for that, AND currently paying for my own college. Thanks for the giggle from the "when you're my age you'll understand" comment. I've been hearing that my whole life, usually from folks who think that age level is equal to wisdom level. I don't understand the extremes of either "side", never did, probably never will.

That being said, you and I probably agree a lot on the fiscal side of things, which I find align with old school conservative thought--but the GOP these days seems to care more about social issues than the financial. Meanwhile, under Obama I've paid less taxes to the federal government than ever, so he's OK in my book.

Now my social views (religion, abortion, gay rights, et al) make me a dirty dirty liberal and deserve the scorn of Rush and dittoheads everywhere.

So according to myself I am? Interesting. BTW Teabagger is derogatory. Why don't you call me a nig*** while you're at it.

When you make less money......you pay less in taxes.

Nig***. Nah... not even close.

When you make less money......you pay less in taxes.
We made more than we did when Bush was POTUS and we payed less this year.

The Boston Tea Party was an important event in American history and was done by patriots. Teabaggers are no patriots of independence--I have a special disdain reserved for teabaggers, so much so I've started collecting the ridiculous signs at their protests here http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=165619&id=666661844&l=2014553d3f I try to leave out the faces and ludicrous hats with (taxed) teabags on them.

I just wonder--where were the teabaggers during the Bush years? If teabaggers truly represent what they claim, the teabaggers should have been protesting Dubya, not coming out of the woodwork once Obama took office.

When you make less money......you pay less in taxes.

My adjusted gross income was the second highest since I started working at 15.
