Amanda Knox guilty - all because of a cartwheel

But she was stabbed. Her throat wasn't slit. There was blood spatter everywhere. Do you think AK and RS didn't get any blood on their clothes? If we assume that Raffaele's foot print is the one on the bathmat, then how would you reconcile that?

That's a good point. One I can't answer 100% - there were plenty of unassigned footprints in the bedroom, so it could be that Amanda and Raffaele left footprints in the bedroom and tried to clean them up as best they could the next morning... *shrug*

One bit at a time :)

1) Why would Guede, who knew the boys downstairs and, at the very least from upstairs, Amanda, not simply have knocked on the door? We've gone through this before in this thread, and no one could give a solid reason why he wouldn't. It wouldn't have taken more than a simple "Hi, I'm Amanda's friend. Is she in?" if someone had answered the door. A much quieter, safer manner in which to check for someone being home.

I have always believed Rudy came to the door. He wouldn't even have had to mention Amanda; Meredith knew him by sight, if not by name. We're talking about college kids, people casually going in and out of each other's houses and dorm rooms, just to hang out.

An equally plausible alternative is that he saw her going in the house and rushed up behind her and forced his way in. I don't think there is any evidence of that, though.

Maybe all the women I've dated are just strange, but they always kept everything in their purse.

Eh, I think the point is that there's no "specific, common sense" place for the phones to have been.

Hell, walk into my house and my phone and credit cards could be in any 1 of 4 or 5 places depending on what I have going on that day... :D

Perhaps they split from the room before the blood was heavy enough for them to leave footprints. Unlike your average horror flick, your blood doesn't instantaneously drain from your body as soon as your neck is slit.

Remember, Guede comes back and sees Meredith still bleeding out. He thinks he can save her, so he tries to stop the blood flow with towels. Useless attempt, perhaps, but it does reflect that it wasn't an instant pool of blood on the floor.

I just saw a TV show tonight that showed that when an artery is cut, a spray of blood spurts out for about 60 seconds.

Remember, we still don't have a way to reconcile that footprint in the bathroom with Rudy either - it had to get there someway, possibly the owner hopped to the bathroom after accidentally stepping in the blood while it was still wet and the body was being rearranged ;)

No, I know a lot of women who keep everything in their purses. The only time I do is when I have to dress up, which, thankfully, is seldom. On the other hand, I know a few women who never even use purses.

Bob, I don't know how I can be more fair. You know how I feel about the case, and I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt in assuming all the forensics are as the prosecution states them. So I am giving you the benefit of saying that the footprint is Raffaele's.

You believe the footprint belongs to RS. Ok, let's work with that then. Or are you saying you think it's possible that footprint is Rudy's? I'm a little confused.

I'm saying I believe it's Raffaele's, but even if you believe it's Rudy's, you'll still have the same "how did it get there" dilemma :D

Except Meredith's artery wasn't cut. All the injuries missed the artery. Therefore, Meredith's arteries are not relevant to the discussion.

Edit: Should have elaborated. Seeing how it is Raffaele's footprint on the bathmat, Raffaele obviously stepped in blood in the murder room, but there is no footprint of him there. Why do you think that is?

LoL

And that's where this bit of my previous post comes in:

possibly the owner hopped to the bathroom after accidentally stepping in the blood while it was still wet and the body was being rearranged

Edit b/c of the edit: Good question. Perhaps it's one (or more) of the unassigned footprints in the bedroom?

But I thought there was only one other unassigned footprint and it was attributed to be the size of Amanda's foot by the prosecution.

Does there have to be?

Ok fair enough. But there is no trail leading to the bathroom correct? Just the footprint on the bathmat.

Like I said, Raffaele was helping Amanda rearrange the body. He stepped in blood and hopped to the bathroom where he put his foot down.

Either that or the hallway was cleaned after the fact. It would explain the missing footprints in front of Amanda's room (unless that's just an error in Bruce's website).

If they did clean up the trail of bloody footprints leading to the bathroom, why didn't the luminol detect it? Even if the footprints were cleaned, the blood would smear like paint and the luminol should have detected the smears of blood.

Edit: This would be the same for Amanda's "missing footprints". If they were cleaned the luminol still should have detected the blood on the floor where the footprints would be.

What, like newspaper?

Perhaps...or kitchen towel (that's quite easy to flush down the toilet after). Newspaper would have had to have been taken and thrown away somewhere so would have been more inconvenient. It's even possible Meredith's towels were used in this way.

Personally though, I think they hopped, or limped, just placing down a partial heel when stepping.
