One of the comments seems to get the flavour about right the story doesn't:
I wonder if this storm in a thimble will stop the visit and hopefully "arrest" of Benny Ratzinger.

David said:I for one have no respect for this pope, his handling of abuse within the church and his politics, his attacks on contraception and his ridiculous views on human sexuality. It galls me when the Prime minister says he is sure all people in the UK welcome this visit, because I know lots who do not. I also do not want my taxes paying for this incredibly wealthy powerful and privileged institution to come to britain on a state visit and be flattered and fawned over while attacking our laws and values and citizens. Some of that home office blue sky thinking sounds like people expressing honestly their criticism.
