Evidence for why we know the New Testament writers told the truth.

I don't want a piece of pi. I want some evidence that the N/T writers wrote the truth. :)

Oh, I got the math joke. My issue is that you're trying to point out one of my posts as being the irrational one. How dare you? That's the kind of attack the messenger post that I've come to expect from joobz.

Rubbish!

I have joobz has shown that almost all of our info about Alexander the Great mathematics (who did which does very extraordinary things) comes from historians mathematicians who lived over 400 years after his death the invention of mathematics.

This shows us that 400 year old historical mathematical evidence can be very important in our educational system. And thus this fact decreases the value of the skeptics argument that the writings about Christ were decades after his life. And if we have decreased the value of the skeptic argument against the truthfulness of the NT it is only common sense that we have helped the argument for its truthfulness.

FLYING TURTLES? Good Dog man! Aeschylus didn't give his life for flying turtles, the airborne terrapins cowardly attacked him! They plucked out his spleen, fercryingoutloud! I have it on good authority (Sir William Blake) that while Aeschylus was more than willing to die for tygers, turtles were right out. They got wind of that attitude and decided to "teach the ol' boy a lesson that would make Archimedes leave his bath."

But the Great President (and Swedenborgian), William Henry Harrison, said in his Third Inaugral Address "Bullocks!". By this he showed, conclusively that none of my posts could be considered rational, therefore pointing to one and calling it the "irrational one" is a fallacy of first water.

OH MY CHICKEN! You're right tsig. DOC never said that he was providing evidence that the NT writings are true, but rather that, while they were alive, the people who wrote the NT were honest in their speech. How could I ever had missed that?

Aye. There used to lots of little DOC threads like this one dotted around, but then the mods started sweeping them all up into his old threads until there was only this one left.
