This is one of my favorites. It means more if you are aware that this man in late 1600's invented differential and integral calculus, developed a working theory for gravity, had trouble with whether light was a wave or a particle, and had an inkling of Relativity.
Another of his quotes: "It may be that there is no body really at rest, to which the places and motions of others may be referred."
His idea for gravity was not well received by some because he proposed "action at a distance" and did not attempt to explain the mediator. That smacked of magic among the early scientists.
