When did the topic switch to Democrat members of congress in general?
Cicero posted the OP, the link is assumed.

Maxine Waters? Isn't she the one who promulgated that "The CIA is dealing drugs in Los Angeles" woo? ... and who has serious "questions" about who was behind 9-11.
I think being a hypocrite is the least of her problems.
Summary of Thread so far:
Cicero claims that Maxine Waters is hypocritical, corrupt, left-wing nut.
Rational liberals fail to disagree
To be fair, I grew up in the other end of the spectrum, in the district represented at the time by Bob Dornan. I, however never thought that B-1 Bob was representative of the GOP.

Don't know about her being a Truther (would not surprise me) but, as for the CIA dealing drugs in LA, yep, that's Maxine all the way.
There is a reason why not even her own party takes her seriously.
Do Dems usually assign members to the Committee on the Judiciary (Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism, and Homeland Security, Subcommittee on Immigration, Citizenship, Refugees, Border Security, and International Law) and Financial Services Committee someone they don't take "seriously?"
Isn't that an oxymoron?
Yes, and so do Reps (although not neccesarily the exact same committees). Dornan was on the Intelligence Committee (not sure which subcommittees), and I don't recall the Reps taking him very seriously.
Isn't this the dreaded Tu quoque argument?
Again, do you have quotes or video where her Democratic Party colleagues are dismissive, critical or unflattering to Maxine?
nope, nor do I have quotes or videos of the Republican colleauges being dismissive, critical, or unflattering to Dornan. The typical way parties handle such an embarresment is to not fan their flames of self promotion and try to ignore them as much as possible. Being dismissive, critical or unflattering just emboldens them further and makes them an even bigger embarrasment.
Do you have any quotes or videos of her Democratic Party colleagues being supportive or flattering to Maxine?

I didn't make this claim.
Since you made the above claim, I asked if you had something to substantiate it. You admit you do not. So where did you get the notion that Maxine isn't taken seriously by her fellow Dems?
.How about the complete lack of support she gets when she makes these stupid statements
When Biden makes a stupid gaffe, Dems will come out in droves to explain what he really meant, or somehow try to defend his statement (even before he became Obama's running mate). The Reps did the same for Bush. Their parties take them seriously. The complete lack of this happening for crackpots like Waters and Dornan (despite copious opportunities to do so) show that their own parties do not take them seriously.
If that is all you got as evidence of Maxine not being taken seriously by her fellow Dems, it is hardly persuasive, however, that would be inaccurate as well. Maxine's whacky assessment about Fannie Mae did indeed have fellow Dem support. Barney Frank, who spoke after Maxine in the Committee on Financial Services, expressed agreement with his colleague Maxine's characterization of Freddie Mac.
"Mr. Chairman, we do not have a crisis at Freddie Mac, and in particular at Fannie Mae, under the outstanding leadership of Mr. Frank Raines. Everything in the 1992 act has worked just fine. In fact, the GSEs have exceeded their housing goals." Maxine Waters
"Okay. Then I am not entirely sure why we are here, but we killed the afternoon anyway, so we might as well go forward. I must say, I am inclined to agree with that. I don't see any financial crisis. You can always make things better, but I do think we should dispel the notion that we are here because there is something rotten that has gone on." Barney Frank

Candidate Obama didn't defend his running mate's gaffe on this occasion. Does that mean he doesn't take Biden "seriously?"
"Biden's string of slip-ups started last Monday. Asked by NBC's Meredith Vieira whether the Fed should bail out insurance giant AIG, the senator said no: "I don't think they should be bailed out by the federal government." Unfortunately, the remark had more in common with McCain's initial position on the bailout (instinctive opposition) than Obama's carefully cultivated claim that he would not "second-guess" the government. When the bailout went through, both Biden and McCain bowed to reality. But the shift left Obama in a tricky position--as Matt Lauer pointed out this morning on "Today." Noting that Obama had been hitting McCain for flip-flopping on the AIG bailout, Lauer asked the Illinois senator how he could criticize his Republican rival when his own running mate had made the same mistake. His answer? "I think Joe should have waited, as well." Awkward."
You spelled impotent incorrectly. My posts are important!
Interesting misdirection there. Waters' quote is on page 14 of the transcript. Franks' quote is on page 110. The transcript is from 2003. So Franks' quote has nothing to do with Waters' quote other than they both failed to see the troubles in Fannae Mae 5 years before they came to a head, as did several others, according to their testimony in that transcript.
Your second example, Obama is defending Biden. He is explaining that he could have handled it better from a PR perspective, not that what Biden stated was essentially wrong.
There is a reason why not even her own party takes her seriously.
