Which is more likely:

1 - A human being was thrown into a vat of boiling oil and his skin didn't peel off, he didn't breathe in oil and suffocate, melting his lungs, etc. He emerged "unharmed." (Having worked at KFC, I can tell you what hot oil does to human skin)

or

2 - The above account is a fantasy tale told in the 'oral tradition'
Please formulate your answer as follows.

A miracle is a miracle -- there were "many" miracles done by the apostles if you believe the bible-- why are you especially amazed by this one.
I'm not amazed by it. Why can't you answer this simple question?

C'mon people, we got another 30 posts to go.

Pharoah, do you have a nifty picture to commemerate this historic event?

I have a pic, yes, and although it's not for me to judge its niftyness, it does incorporate a quotatiion from the NT which may, in fact, contain a skerrick of truth.

The bad news is that the quote is from Revelation, and given the general trippiness of that particular book I guess the likelihood of its veracity is somewhat questionable.

Still, it's as close as anything else we've had so far.

As a bonus, I've found a video clip featuring our latest milestone, sort of.

I may as well take this opportunity to point out that one of our foremost investigators into the [abysmal lack of] evidence for why we know the New Testament writers told the truth, paximperium, is only 16 posts short of being the second recipient of the Holy Fallacy Grenade of Antioch.

We live in momentous times, boys and girls! We are writing history!

While we're waiting, let's hear from our favourite messenger, on the subject of losing one's faith.

It's quite profound.

Your above post tells me you have not read all of this thread, because we have been over much of this. And you have not "specifically" said what in this thread (that it appears you haven't read all of) has made you lose your faith in God (as you claim this thread has).

OK, I lied. It's complete gibberish. Sorry.
