Why do you call it nonsense? On the morning of Nov. 1, Meredith's own laundry was in the washing machine. Amanda testified that on that morning Meredith went to take something out or put something into the machine. Meredith's friends testified that she called to say she would be late getting to the party. So what is Meredith to do? Miss a party, wear a wet or dirty bra or borrow a freshly cleaned and dry bra from her close friend that's sitting there on the drying rack in the hall outside their rooms.

Talk to some actual women. We do have more than one bra, and we don't share our underware. As a man Dan, ask yourself, would you just take a pair of draws from your male roomate?

And by the way, who besides Amanda said they were "close friends"? You have nothing to base this bra fairy tale on than the continued lies of the convicted.

I hope the vision which you suffered and has driven what you just wrote in affirmative tones is not from the same area of cerebral cortex which gave you some mysterious vision linking slides 17 and 66 of the footprint powerpoint (only if you twist 17 to the left and 66 to the right). I guess you're still too embarassed to tell us what you saw on the powerpoint (having denigrated those of us who couldn't see whatever it is that you saw).

You are saying that the cut bra clasp with Raffaele's DNA is one of Amanda's bras. Are you aware of that?

Dan O., go back to the spin factory and get some professionally produced talking points from Mr. Marriott. This is not the sort of thing you should try to do at home, unsupervised.

What's the difference between sharing a bra and sharing a dress which has significantly more skin contact? Is there something significant about a few square cm that makes it a different kind of skin where sharing garments wouldn't be acceptable?

If the sizes are indeed different, that would pretty much rule out sharing. Have the sizes for each of the girls ever been released?

Okay Quadraginta, you're right: the Marriott Skunkworks have come up with some pretty foul smelling products, but for me, this goes over the top.

Indeed. Absolutely no one except RS's father has said this bra sharing BS. Not the other two roomates, not Meredith's friends in Italy, not her friends in England, not her sister, not even Amanda herself. It defies all logic as to why anyone would believe such nonsense and then try to add onto the dishonesty by saying that Meredith was wearing Amanda's bra when she was murdered.

It's even more bizarre than that. Let's say for the sake of hypothesis that Knox and Meridith were exactly the same size, to permit bra swapping, and that they were casually using each other's underwear.

Why would Knox keep mum about it. Why would she clam up about a point of evidence which is one of the more damning pieces of forensic data against Sollecito when she has proven to be so remarkably garrulous about nearly everything else? Why wouldn't she have said that the DNA got there when she had it on and he was taking it off. It isn't like she's been particularly coy about their relationship, and they've tried to suggest nearly every other way the DNA could have gotten there short of hostile aliens.

Maybe it's less plausible than hostile aliens.

Nobody is saying it never happens, Dan_O. The yahoo answers to which you linked shows that some people (who all appear to be close friends or sisters) do, and other people don't. That's not the issue here, the issue is whether you have any evidence for this suggestion that Meredith was wearing one of Amanda's bras.

From pictures, it's clear that Meredith and Amanda wore different bra sizes. I am not sure whether you realise that bra size isn't like other clothes sizing; you can wear a loose garment like a t-shirt a couple of sizes too big or even a size too small and it doesn't really matter. Bras are sized quite differently, being a combination of underbust (band) and breast (cup) size. The wrong size bra simply won't fit. It is true that many women wear the wrong size, but that's because they wrongly believe themselves to be that (wrong) size. Women don't randomly pick up a bra belonging to a friend which is a completely different band and cup size and expect to be able to wear it.

The point is, do you claim that Meredith was wearing Amanda's bra when she was murdered?
