If your foster sister had announced this on a stage, without adding "except Shrodinger's Cat and his family", then, not knowing any better, I would think that your family had abused her as well. So, when I first heard Finkelstein say that his family had been exterminated, on the video where he discusses the reparations, I though that was what he meant. I was surprised to find out, in that very video, that he was lying.

But, that's not the point now. Forget about it ! I agree, if he had been challenged he would have said... 'no, I didn't mean my parents'.

He was lying because NOT A SINGLE MEMBER OF HIS FAMILY ON EITHER SIDE WAS EXTERMINATED.

Now, either prove me wrong, or .... spin it again ! LOL.

Saggy is applying double standards here as usual. He insists that the Finkelstein quote betaken verbatim and analysed without regard to context. On the other hand, when presented with the Irving quote he immediately seeks to qualify it. In similar vein, he is quick to use the label 'degenerate liar' to brand any Jewish survivor offering testimony but fails to apply it to SS members offering similar evidence.

On other threads he demonstrates his poor knowledge of Third Reich history (Ernst Kaltenbrunner was obviously not head of the SS), and, most bizarrely, a Humpty-Dumpty approach to English semantics.

As far as this Holocaust-denying lark goes, the bottom line is that Saggy is really not very good at it.

It is the same technique the holocaustians use all the time: suggestion. Dudalb does not say why this find is so 'intersting'. Dudalb just suggests that on some attic in Poland finally the Proof of the Holocaust has been found. Of course nothing of substance was found.

So what is so interesting about this find ?

You cannot make this up. But to comfort dudalb: I will the last to scream 'fake'. I have no trouble accepting that some sad mr Mergerle [sic] owned a coupon worth 280 grams of butter. Why should I doubt THAT?

So our friend dudalb tries to pimp a trivial butter coupon find into proof that more than 1M people were gassed.

But I do enjoy the notion that Germans would gladly have fed the people in their camps, but just didn't have the food. But strangely all the Germans working in those areas were well-fed. In fact, there were no famines in Germany, even as the allies bombed and drove the monstrous Nazis back.

There were famines in Europe, however, like this one, largely caused by German blockades and infrastructure destruction:

THe Soviet Union just carried on a lot of Czarist Russia's worst habits, with a little Marxist Rhetoric throw in.
And Russia under Putin and his Lapdogs seems to have not learned the lesson.
But...yeah...I find it amusing that Our little lnvestigator finds so much to love about Russia now that a Right Wing Government in in control.

I just read a book on USA migrants who moved to Russia in the 1930s. 17,000 workers moved to Russia during the Great Depression. Adolf Hitler's mate Henry Ford sold a whole car factory that was rebuilt outside Moscow in the 30's. It seems logical that the American President would recognise the Soviet Union if they were exchanging workers and technology. It also seems a logical step to "end overt USA contribution" to the white Russians.

I can only guess that 1933 was the year Hitler formed his dictatorship and the USA government was looking towards new allies at this time.


(And yes there does seem to be some evidence that a handfull of USA citizens were unjustly sent to gulags for their gold mining expertise, in the 30's and some were returned post 1945.)


(More fun was that the USA workers in Moscow used to play baseball against USA diplomatic staff...it was broadcast on Moscow radio ....and ready for it......NKVD officers wishing to learn english!)
 
Why would a butter card be a joking matter?

There were food rationing. Doing without butter were no joke, particularly a whole pack. In Denmark there were much smaller cards too, for e.g. an open sandwich at a restaurant.

I take it that anything that place Hr. Mengele in Auschwitz must be ridiculed or otherwise discredited?
