God, been what he/she is supposed to be, powerful, all seeing etc. would have known this book would be used as his/hers word by mankind for thousands of generations to come. Prophecies would be able to be seen by the staunchest of atheists with no chance of been discarded. Then you wouldn't need faith, and the bible says without faith it impossible to please God.

But you will notice the bible doesn't say without "blind" faith it impossible to please God. The reason you can't have blind faith in Christianity is because there is evidence it is true (as seen in post 11054).

If there is evidence why do you still need faith? Do you need faith to believe the world is round?

No, I think we can keep that up. Because DOC went from presenting evidence to reasons why the evidence can suck and the bible is still valid.

Because I wasn't there when Christ rose from the dead. But there is historical evidence that He did.

And I don't know for sure when I get in an elevator on the 20th floor that it is going to give me a safe ride but I have faith it will, and I also have some evidence it will.

He has seen the evidence of 9 bible translations that use the word servant and not slave but he won't accept it, and thus is hopeless.

What is the definition of servant, as it is used in the bible? How much were they paid, not counting beatings?
