Registered and hoteled up... for my first TAM!
 
I've started packing. Can anyone think of anything else I'll need? ;)

I'm registered, and got my hotel room, and me and a buddy will be road-tripping from Portland, OR.

I was at TAM6 and had a great time. Some people might have spotted the 6'6" 400 pound guy with no hair dressed in all black, that didn't really talk to anyone, except maybe unintentionally scaring Phil Plait and/or George Hrab. I couldn't afford to go last year, but I'll pretty amped to be returning.
 
I've actually got as far as looking at air fares (and then sitting quietly in a darkened room; I've never spent that much except on a house); if I do get as far as actually booking this year, how much before the start should I plan to arrive, and how long are people going to be around afterwards?

Depends if you want to see anything else in Vegas (not much) or the western US (tons).

Generally, a lot of people (especially forumites) arrive on Wed and leave on Monday. Some go Tue/Tue.
