The Skunk Conspiracy

You are clearly a member of the NWO anti-skunk campaign, posting disinfo like this and trying to get the op silenced! FIGHT THE MAN, OP!

And isn't it funny that he is in Toronto, one of the major cities in ontario. Tell me Gord, if that is your real name, do you maybe have some ties to the anti skunk agenda?

Crypto anti-mephits are one of the most dangerous fragments of the dark cloud that is hovering over my province.

Yeah when i was working for sprint that was a big thing, we had people constantly calling in and asking us about the cell phone brain cancer things. And then getting angry when we gave them the information that showed it to be false. ( we used to have a standard link we gave them.)

I think people just have a tendency to jump on a band wagon if there is a possibility of them being hurt. I mean there has never been a conspiracy about people getting free kittens.

( Well actually there was when i worked for MCI , but that is a weird kind of long story. )

There you go! Just start that rumor back up again with a new twist like that all the new electonics in cars causes the creation of an EMF that is then concentrated into the cell phone and directed to the brain! Gets people off their cell phones (ok I have a thing about that) and also will nicely employ about 10 million lawyers preparing the class action suit against - well against just about everyone.

In the end nothing will be proven except a reduction in highway fatalities due to reduced driver distraction. If you worked for a telecomm company you should be able to come up with some good techno garble that'll have people googling til thier eyes drop out.

Oh yeah, that is exactly what i used to do when questions got too stupid , which they did on a constant basis.

I mean if i were to take a stab i would probably say " due to the electronics in modern automobiles, sprint will now request, for you own safety that you no longer use cellular tellphones in your automobile. The problem being the emf fields that were originally thought to cause brain cancer are actually unable to be released due to the electronic noise from newer devices in cars. What this means to you, the consumer is that a potentially fatal build up of kinetic energy can occur. Causing , among other symptoms, loss of consciousness , bruising , and possible ocular hemorrhage. "

Now watch in 3 months this quote is going to be on someones web site from a " previous sprint employee".

Great, almost perfect. Now the icing on the cake. Type it up and make it look like an internal confidential memo from Sprint. That its info that can't get out because Sprint research found that something like 61% of their customers do 58% of their cell phone use in the car and they didn't want to lose the business. For a good conspiracy to work you need an evil entity that is going to profit from common folks' misery. Thats always a great hook. You could be the disgruntled ex-Sprint employee who blows the lid off of things. Also, take out the "field" after EMF, I think that its redundant.

You know i could do this very easily, i have all kinds of sprint confidental stuff. But i believe that i can still get in trouble for posting the document format, even though i am not working for them and it is not saying anything real. I wish i knew the legality of that. If i could do it without ending up in jail i would love to pull a carlos hoax conspiracy.

But dosn't it seem strange to you that Ontario is one of the few places in the world that has this particular law? I could go to almost any other province and get a skunk ( let alone the rest of the world.), nothing about this seems fishy to you?

Except that is absolutely NOT TRUE. See:
http://www.skunkhaven.net/StatesForm.htm

If you scroll to the bottom you will see that owning a skunk is illegal in every province in Canada (except N&L) where they are "Legal with permit from Minister. Wildlife Regulations Sections 82, 83, 84, 85 and Schedule B. Schedual B does not include skunks, they are not native wildlife. They are not native or present in Newfoundland and as such a permit may be difficult to obtain." and NS where you should "Refer to Department of Natural Resources Import Permits." as you need a permit to import one.

You can also note on that site that ownership of a skunk is illegal in the vast majority of the US states.

It took me less than five minutes to find this via Google.

( on a serious note though, people have been domesticating skunks for quite some time, i, even in a humor sense am not advocating getting one from the wild. It would be about as smart as getting a pet mountain lion. A wild animal is a wild animal, but there are many skunk breeders who have been in the buisness quite some time , and thousands if not millions of people who have kept pet skunks without incident. And to the best of my knowledge no one has been killed by a domesticated skunk, while i am sure it would take me no longer than 5 minutes to find an article about someone being killed by a domesticated dog. )
Put |pet skunk bite| into Google and you will get a few thousand hits telling you to be careful of your pet skunk because they bite everyone and everybody. You get an order of magnitude more hits with |pet dog bite| which, considering the number of pet dogs vs pet skunks, is I suggest indicative of the relative dangers.

The extremely skunk friendly wikipedia article Pet_skunkWP says: "Although it is quite rare for domesticated skunks to get rabies, there have been many unfortunate cases in which an uninfected pet skunk bit a person, and then was euthanized by animal control personnel so that its brain cells could be tested for rabies." (Bolding mine.)

I know what you say you are trying to do but picking on skunk ownership is not terribly clever because the legislation is not directed at skunks in particular and there are good reasons why they don't make good pets. As a conspiracy theory it fails on both counts.

Gord, i am gonna be honest i think your taking this wayyyyyy too seriously.

I mean i kinda want to kid you a bit, maybe fire back some "angry " comments , but it dosn't seem like its going to end too well. If you would like to seriously debate skunk ownership i would be more than happy to start a thread in the appropriate place. But you seem hell bent on debunking what amounts to me making fun of myself and tenancies of conspiracy theorists. I can understand its not Rik mayall pee yourself funny, but the rest of us seem to be having a good time why pee on the parade?

Wayyyy toooo serrrriously? No, actually I am having fun with you. If you want to create a new Conspiracy Meme, I suggest it be rooted in just a little bit of reality. If you are just funning, well then maybe I enjoy parade peeing.

YMMV. IMHO. IANAL.

Well then it is an improper reaction on my part, i don't know why but i got the vibe you were being steadfast serious, but then again, what did i expect? Yarg, i am not really on the ball today.
