There is the usual hypocrisy here -- "when our side does it it's not that bad, when their side does it, it's AWFUL" -- much like there was (in reverse) during the Monica Lewinsky scandal.

This is not entirely accurate. On the whole I don't care about if a politician is cheating on their wife, many of the best and most respected politicians in history did that. When they make specific statements against others who cheat on their wife and make a political issue of it, then those who do so and not others in their party should be held accountable to their own professed standard.

If they made statements that unfaithful politicians should resign, then they should resign when caught with their pants down. It is not hypocritical to hold people to the standard they profess for others even if it is not the standard I would hold people to in general.

The bimbo is not going to be doing any kinds of public service in connection with her relationship with the horndog. There is also a security concern. Threats and assaults against family members of elected officals are a concern of public safety.

Hard to say. I just know that Dems go more for the brighter ones, the GOP for the eye candy.

I often heard Rice described as "bright" and Hunter has, apparently, some talent as a film maker. Only thing I know about the GOP fluff is that they are usually good-looking, definitely catering for the shallow end of the intellectual pool, like Newt and McCain.
