So, after that campaign against vaccination that came with a real death toll, it now appears as though her son does not have autism and she has to at least somewhat recant all of that crazy. I have no sympathy at all for her because of the tremendous damage done by her and her campaign against science and vaccination.

I'd guess she'll find other reasons to campaign against vaccines. She'll just say that *her* son doesn't have autism.

I'd always had the impression, right or wrong, that her kid's autism made him have special indigo powers by her own words.

I wish that they had started much earlier. Since the Wakefield study possibly linking MMR to autism has been publicly discredited she might think about apologizing quite a lot.

And she is also reversing her initial position that the MMR shots caused Evan’s autism. Jenny says she wants vaccinations better researched — rather than getting rid of them altogether. And though her son may never have had autism, Jenny insists, “I’ll continue to be the voice” of the disease.

Hopefully she'll be more open to see the evidence that shows no link between immmunisation and autism...or maybe she's doing the soft sell "Just Asking Questions" thing.

Yes. Now that she's come around she should be given a complete pass on what her lack of critical thinking has produced.

Wow, the comments after the article were, uhm, interesting. Science vs ignorance. Just like this forum there were many rational, critical thinkers so I just had to read and learn about "attacking the argument, not the writer." I still do the knee-jerk reaction too often.

I may be mistaken, but I think she was claiming that her son was an Indigo before he was diagnosed with autism. She even had a website up called IndigoMoms.com. But she took down the site, apparently after he was diagnosed. Who knows, maybe she'll go back to claiming he's an indigo again.
