Tiger's apology

Again, I do not mean to attack or criticize your opinion. I am simply asking why you'd lose respect by merely hearing about him having an affair(s). I want to see understand why.

It was not the affairs that caused me to lose respect for him. It was the fact that he felt he needed to apologize on national television. Who Tiger Woods screws is an issue for him and his wife to deal with. I suspect the apology was about trying to keep his sponsors happy.

That's why I said, "If I had a billion dollars, I'd throw the wife a couple hundred million and tell everyone else to go to hell."

The verdict IMO is he's just another in a long line of dirtbag POSs in pro sports and like them I wish he would move to Tibet or some such for good and we'd never hear from or about him ever again.

Says the man with the drug addict and master of the "Teary press conference, then going back on what he said in the conference 3 months later" in his avatar. Or do you think Mr. Favre should "move to Tibet for good" as well?

Fair question.

I lost a bet and can't stand Favre FYI.

He doesn't owe his kids an apology? (I'm pretty sure he has kids - no?)

Anyone who thinks he's sorry about anything other than getting caught is pathetically naive if not outright clueless.

I suspect that that was covered in the phrase "general public". His family is not, kind of as a default position, part of the general public. Nor is the PGA, nor are the heads of the businesses and their ad agencies for whom he worked. That still leaves pretty much everyone else as general public. Many of them want to know details/ etc. but that, in no way, means they are owed/have a right to them.

.
Or even have an interest.
His adventures with his dick didn't adulterate his golf game.
That game was his former claim to fame.
But that's over now.

Tiger should not have apologised. He can fool around to his hearts content for all I care. There are consequences to what we do but he should have thought of that before he did what he did. Getting a woman pregnant twice and then going ho hum get an abortion to solve the problem is odious to me. Abortion shuld be legal but not used for birth control.

Yeah right. He'll be back making millions playing golf and people will be oooh-ing and ahhh-ing and who-care-ing what he did before you know it. Being a great sports figure cures all.

Tiger's smarmy performance just confirms my opinion that although I an no fan of the Catholic church, they are on the right track by making confessions personal and private .
