Esoteric Hitlerism or Nazi Occultism has been a staple for the entertainment industry and recent documentaries. It also has a postwar ideological history with the authors: Savitri Devi , Francis Parker Yockey and Miguel Serrano.

Anyone here familiar with the topic or these authors?

The topic? Sure! I think that the depiction of Nazi Occultism was one of the few things entertaining about the recent Wolfenstein game. The rest was a bit pants though, especially when compared to the 2003 Return to Castle Wolfenstein. Still, it was enjoyable and a good rent. It's amazing how shooting Nazi's never gets old.

Nazi Occultism. Would it be like those Nazis that get melted in the Indiana Jones movie?

Was it not Goebbels? and his cronies that dabbled, trying to give credence to their outfit via an esoteric symbolic historical twist, also they were building some sort of castle/temple for their Teutonic knights to cavort about at, which was destroyed being in the early stages of development.
Never mind the KGB of USA the CIA used Nazis to develop their outfit.

Ah Goebbels, that tall, handsome, blond perfect specimen of Aryan manhood.

Wrong Nazi. Heinrich HimmlerWP was the eso-occulto-germanophile nutjob.Thought himself the reincarnation of Henry the FowlerWP. Also liked the Quran, the Bhagavad Gita and the Hagakure.
His Ahnenerbe sponsored such delightful delusional madmen as Karl Maria WilligutWP who clearly plagiarized earlier racist occultist like Guido von ListWP.
There are a lot of interesting connections between some esoteric ideas and groups and (Neo-)Nazism. As well as with Lamaism.

Moss is right. Goebbels ,in private ridiculed a lot of Himmler's occult beliefs. Even some of his own SS officers laughed at Himmler's gullibility behind his back. ANd Hitler was known to poke fun at Himmler's odd beliefs when Himmler was out of the room.
Goebbels and Hitler felt that the Occult was at times a useful propaganda tool, but did not buy into it themsleves. And it pains me to say anything good about those two.
The best research is that Hitler bought into the racial nonsense of the German Occult groups, but rejected a lot of their other teaching.
And a LOT of nonsense has been written about the Occult and the Third Reich. You have to be careful, there is an awful lot of senstionalistic crap on the topic out there.
