UFOs: The Research, the Evidence

Yes, that was the question.

I have tried all along to distinguish between aliens and "aliens". As has been pointedly noted I DID included the statement in my OP that I would provide evidence for "aliens" (including the quotation marks!), however I was also careful to point out that this did NOT mean ET.
BS…

I must make one caveat on my meaning of “alien”. By “alien” I DO NOT mean “Extraterrestrial”. The term as I use it simply means something outside our common understanding of reality. “They” could be from “out there”, they could be from “precisely here”, they could be extra- or intra-dimensional, they could be, well, anything at all…we just do not know and without a concerted research effort, perhaps we will never truly “know”.
By definition “out there” means “extraterrestial”. If “aliens” doesn’t mean ET then you shouldn’t have included “they” from “out there” in your list of examples of what you consdier to be “something outside our common understanding of reality”.

If you’re not going to admit you’re a liar then you need to unequivocally state for the record that none the evidence you’re presenting is evidence for ET.

Plus gods have the luxury of appearing like anything any UFO ever appeared to be and more. Shape shifting, appearing, vanishing, huge, tiny, circular, flat, triangular, colored lights, blinking, glowing, darkened, windows, no windows, silvery, black, standing still hovering, faster than light, whirring, silent, whatever. Hell a god could appear to be a perfectly normal 747 flying over Peoria and nobody would be any the wiser. Gods have it all. And it's up to Rramjet to refute the "UFOs = gods" theory or admit failure.

The gods could have induced the thoughts into RR's brain or imprinted them into his eyeballs. WoW the god theory just keeps getting more emrerical facsts.

The Gods may be loose amour us.

A liar?

I have tried all along to distinguish between aliens and "aliens". As has been pointedly noted I DID included the statement in my OP that I would provide evidence for "aliens" (including the quotation marks!), however I was also careful to point out that this did NOT mean ET.

I have also consistently denied there is a direct evidential link between UFOs and ET.

I defined "aliens" as closely as I could to try and make the above distinctions clear, but obviously people here have either chosen to ignore the distinctions or they have willfully misinterpreted them (or in some cases just have not understood it!)

I think the confusion arises in the UFO debunkers mind because they are so wedded to the UFO = ET equation that they simply cannot see past it - and thus their resort to the ad hominem "liar".

So be it. I contend that I am doing precisely what I set out to do and calling me a "liar" does not dissuade me from that task.

Aliens sometimes look like blimps, have Russian radar , appear to priests and masquerade as squid boats.

OK

I don't use that word myself, regardless of it's legitimacy in certain cases, but let's just say that the truth is but putty in your hands.

As the "UN" "Observer" on "duty", I have to "point out" that you shouldn't even "attempt" this "line" of "reasoning" as it is what "we call in the trade", "unreasonable". It's "sophistry", at "best".

"o rly?"

If by "try and make the above distinctions clear" you actually mean "obfuscate everything", I concur.

It's not an ad hominem. You'll be needing to look that up and get the correct definition. The Wiki article is pretty good.

And you forgot the quote marks.

I hope not. You're one of the best trolls I've seen for ages, and I find your tenacity to be nothing short of awesome.

PS Have some more of these:

""""""""""""""""""""""
""""""""""'"""""""""""
"""""""""""""""""'""""

You go through them at a wicked rate and they don't grow on trees, you know.

<whispers to self> Please, don't let it be a hollow earth.
Given the evidence regarding how familiar Rramjet is with science, it would not be unexpected. Now, since a number of posters here are geologists, it would be very foolish (even) for him to openly side with the hollow Earthr head folks.

He's more on to Jacques Valée's aliens from other universes. Remember? "Beyond the borders of what we call nature" (whatever that means and with the sound of a theremin).

Aliens from other dimensions is... Well, just a silly idea when you think about it. But I doubt these pseudoscientists know that. "Other dimensions" sounds so cool and is used at so many sci-fi tales, books and films.

He may, however, also be one of those who read the headlines of science divulgation articles and then think to know something about science. This is the typical profile of those who claim UFOs may come from a civilization developed at Mars or Venus before these planet's environments became what they are.

Or a multi-origin fan. Some UFOlogists claim there are some 30 ET races visiting us, and since they tend to believe in all sort of weirdness...

DON'T PANIC if you don't get the references, admittedly the last reference is quite obscure (meet me at 4:30, all will be explained at 6:30).
Here's the source:
http://forgetomori.com/2008/ufos/the-lead-masks-case/
A precursor for Heavens' Gate, taken by Jacques Valée (one of Rramjet's top UFOlogists) as a good case!

I bet Valée considered the presencet of towels as proof of alien involvment.

And it's up to Rramjet to refute the "UFOs = gods" theory or admit failure.
Rramjet admitted his failure by writing:
First:
People should note that the title of this thread is: "UFOs: The Research, the Evidence.". It does NOT read "UFOs: evidence for aliens".
As has been pointed out several times, Rramjet's new spin on this thread contradicts his original post.

That was thousands of posts ago. Maybe he's just forgotten what this thread was going to be about.

So it looks like we all agree, well, other than a minion or two, that Rramjet has provided evidence that aliens exist only if we go with a complete redefinition of the term "alien".

It seems we all agree, well, except maybe one or two of his loyal bootlickers, that his arguments are comprised primarily of incredulity, ignorance, lies, and parroting other people's non-evidence.

We also seem to agree, well, again with the exception of those aforementioned bootlickers, that his arguments have contained nothing compelling, nothing original, nothing new, and have been wholly lacking in any evidence for his claim or that he is a scientist of any sort.

And it seems we all agree, aside from the sycophants mentioned above, that his arguments sound like the kind of thing we might more expect to hear from a smart mouthed high school kid with crappy communication skills and a bent for clinging to delusions than from a rational intelligent adult.

Did I miss anything?

Is anyone else familiar with the Viz character Aldridge Pryor?

Actually, in some ways Rramjet is reminding me of a problem we had with my youngest sister when she was a child. Even if you caught her doing something, she would tell you it wasn't her. Her only defence mechanism to any problem was to lie. What I don't understand is why Rramjet is doing it here. My sister at least had the motivation of wanting to get out of punishment, there is no such problem here. I would suspect that the majority of people here would be quite happy to see someone, when faced with the evidence, concede they were wrong. So why the constant lying?

Actually it was Sgt. Clifford Stone (compulsive liar) who stated that we had catalogued 57 different species of aliens... which gave rise to this little graphic:

Press conference where he gave this ridiculous statement:

Chariots of the Gods was a pretty clever title, but it fades into a pale shade of bland when compared to Blimps of the Squids.

Bestseller for sure, and with Stray Cat's photo plate illustrations as the absolute clincher, we're gonna be rich!

ETA: Getting the Gay Rodeo logo onto the other side of the blimp without reversing the text looks awesome. ¡Salud!
