Alex Jones goes to see a psychiatrist - the diagnosis?

What do people think the diagnosis would be if a psychiatrist studied Alex's behaviour and shows for a week?

I can bet on:

Paranoid,
Deluded,
Angry,

even ... psychotic?

Recommended treatment: High doses of tranqulizers or anti-psychotics


Other people what do you reckon?
 
He would likely be a fine mixture between

(A) schizotypal Personality Disorder
and
(B) Paranoid Personality Disorder

Please see DSM IV criteria for both as you wish.

ok so taking my hypothetical one further, say he does go to a psychiatrist but when he's asked to explain any of his un-orthodox views he can back it up with evidence to support it (whether reliable or not).

In a situation like this, would a psychiatrist step back and just say he's a normal person with personal beliefs?

I often wonder this for people like david Icke, surely he's mentally ill but allowed to give huge speeches, publish books, and gets people to pay for his delusions. What would a psychiatrist recommend for icke?
 
Psychiatrists are thinking up new diseases that need to be controlled with medication every day, it could be anything.

Today on the Alex Jones show, Bruce Levine. Interesting coincidence.

He's probably still recommend treatment. Icke might not be hurting himself, but he's contributing to harming a lot of other people, who aren't raking in the bucks off their delusions.

If we're doing an appropriate Battle Hymn of the republic parody , the one that comes to mind is from American history X. Tell me you can't see Jones singing " my eyes have seen the glory of the tramplin' at the zoo....." while doing his gardening.

And as for disorder, i think the man is a simple sociopath. He realized a way to get lots of money and fame, with little to no actual talent, and he is taking advantage of people.

Oh and maybe a slight case of sphincter face, with onset of massive Facial Asstrophy. But that last bit is just a guess on my part.
 
Narcissistic personality disorder if anything, but I think Alex Jones suffers from quite a common problem (i.e. he has access to lots of information, but has an inability to filter it). Many people have huge gaps in their knowledge, and can be duped by any claim they hear on the internet. Jones is not only lacking in things like basic physics, but he can't separate a good source from a bad source, or a real issue from a fantasy. He lacks the skills to make such a judgement, to filter out the crap. He's not ill, just a bit stupid.

Icke on the other hand IS a schizophrenic.

USA students are taught from their youth to believe what? The Russians are coming,the Iranians are coming,the Koreans are coming.

Americans are told to stand and pledge worshipping to the Stars and Stripes.

Alex Jones is what he is because of the ridgered indoctrinational methods used by the USA Capitalists.

USA:someone is always trying to harm us........

USA spawns/breeds the Conspiracy Theorists from saturating everyone's life from the moment they wake up until bedtime.

USA Government is always ''sowing'' conspiracy theories about some Nation or Group concocting conspiracies against Americans.It's no wonder why the mainstream American Citizens think everything is a conspiracy.....

Paranoia, ADHD, compulsive lying, Narcissistic personality disorder, schizotypal Personality Disorder, anger levels, some sort of neuropathological damage, enabling thousands of inconsistant facts and theories to somehow be stored there and not addressed.

He's gonna get more crazy the older he gets.
