So, a zut is a blimp?
I'll concede that the evidence in quest is NOT 'proof', and that the evidence is weak, inconsistent, and without a lot of scientific merit.
Hey, Robumptimbo, check this amazing picture of an unidentified object:

Better than every single piece of imagery ever presented before to back UFOs!
How many believers in UFOs know at some level that it's all pretend? If the U suddenly became I and the FOs turned out to be from another country, wouldn't you freak out a little bit? If I learned that the Chinese (no offense to Chinese people) had sophisticated aircraft that could penetrate deep into the heartland of the USA without triggering all sorts of alarms, I'd be very concerned. Assuming that UFOs are made by "aliens" from another planet doesn't lessen my concern - it makes it worse.
When it comes to other "woo" beliefs, people seem to change their behavior in some way. But beyond playing games trying to spot UFOs, how do people actually act on the belief that there really are UFOs from other planets making a mockery of our military defenses? I don't think that many do anything about it yet it seems a large percentage of people "believe" in UFOs.
In a way I have more respect for the tinfoil hat group. At least that's a reasonable if misguided reaction. What makes little sense to me is to "believe" it and not be totally freaked out.
Given there's nothing our military, or anyone else's airforce can "do" about it, all that a "knower" can do is shrug and hope that aren't evil brain suckers...

At the moment of my sighting "freaked out" is exactly what I and cohort were.
To be faced with something better, and vasty more capable than the most advanced military technology was beyond humbling...it was scary.
Thereafter, I was a changed man, and I looked into the heavens with a very different perspective.
What is a "knower"?
I am.
I have seen enough evidence for me to 'know' that there's something 'in the heavens' that isn't us.
Why do you think you saw something awesome, if I might ask?
That hardly defines it unless you are the only one. Are you the only one?
I doubt it.
I don't quite understand your question...
What I saw disobeyed the laws of flight and physics as I understood them.
So do I. So, define what a "knower" is for me since "KotA" isn't a definition.
All that means is you are relying on an argument from ignorance to support your belief.
