Is there any evidence that the Truth Movement has a clue that this legal action is proceeding without them?

With the May 16 trial date approaching, lawyers for the city and attorneys for thousands of 9/11 responders who say they got sick or injured after working at Ground Zero are apparently hurrying to reach a settlement. Though attorneys from both sides declined to comment on negotiations, Judge Alvin Hellerstein told the Times that "[t]here have been intensive discussions going on looking to settlements of individual cases and globally of all cases...The parties have been working very hard...The settlement is complicated."

With more than 9,000 plaintiffs filing suit against 90 government agencies and private companies, and hundreds of lawyers submitting tens of millions of pages of court documents, the proceedings—and possible settlements—are bound to be complicated and difficult to broker. "No one seriously thinks that all of these cases would ever be tried," said law professor Richard Nagareda. "Ultimately, everybody understands there's going to be some sort of comprehensive settlement. The question is, what is the price?"

To find that price, lawyers for the plaintiffs and city attorneys are reportedly choosing a small group of case samples to bring to trial "in the hope that the verdicts will guide settlement of the remaining lawsuits," the paper reports. The city, which is covered by an insurance fund of nearly $1 billion financed by FEMA, is arguing its liability is capped at $350 million under federal law, though attorneys for the plaintiffs say the city can pay out more. A lawyer for the plaintiffs said: "We believe there's sufficient coverage to pay all claims with money to spare."

I think "truthers" have to ignore this. The 90 some agencies and private companies with all their lawyers amount to essentially an "independent investigation". They're all trying to save their clients money. What better way then to finger "the perps" (whatever flavor you wish). The fact there's no mention of "inside job" means it could be nothing but bad for the "truthers".
 
Why is it all just about an inside job? We Are Change has given a voice to sick WTC first responders for a long time now. What is your point here? Was the air safe to breathe? We all know now that it wasn't. But we couldn't afford the delay in the cleanup could we? Had to get Wall Street back up and running. We couldn't let the terrorists win. blah blah blah blah blah... But all the debunkers here know exactly what happened on 9/11 and what everyones intentions were in the narrative we were handed afterwards. Right. This claim seems awfully presumptuous, to the point of insult. We're not talking about starving children in remote Asian villages, spouse abuse victims afraid to make waves, or mistreated puppy dogs. Sick WTC first responders do not need someone else to state their case for them or plead on their behalf. Do you expect anyone to believe WAC when they claim that they do?

Claim they do so? I've seen them do so. Sick WTC first responders do need people to give them a voice like Michael Moore has done and WAC. Maybe when they are all dead people like you can just claim their one time existence was just a conspiracy theory. Yeah I know, they should have made sure their masks were on at all times. Right debunker? It's their own fault right?

What does We Are Change have to do with reparations for First Responders? This is clearly a decision that courts of law can and will make. It has nothing to do with the imaginary American tyranny that WAC claims it is fighting. Like it or not, the legitimate legal system is working to address the needs of neglected workers and all the imaginary thermite in the world won't change that.

We Are Change is a bogus human rights group. While there are students being murdered in Iran and endless religious persecution in China, they chase Al Gore through a book store and speak soothing words to corrupt politicans. There really are governments that kill people, but what does WAC do about them? Perhaps they find the idea of really helping Iranians a little too scary. Perhaps they don't know where Iran is on the map.

We Are Change is offensive. They are a right-wing group of kids pretending to be political criminals because they can do this in the USA without any threat of danger. They are cowards who abuse all the liberties and rights that American society has given to them.

We are change has given a voice to sick first responders. Michael Moore has done the same in the movie Sicko. This is how I know about the extent of how much people are suffering. I didn't learn about it from the news. I didn't learn about it from the government. I didn't learn it from a movie of the week. I most certainly didn't learn about it from this place. God Bless America.

Sicko came out in 2007, and I could be wrong but I think WAC came about around the same time.

Wow...We Are Change and Michael Moore. That's an amazing comparison. Michael Moore has a message that reaches millions and gets everyone in the nation talking. I live overseas and we talk about the message of Sicko. WAC gets 5 kids together on a sidewalk to yell at strangers. Sounds good to me.

I am a little puzzled by your comparison with Sicko. Sicko is about the need in the USA for a national system of public health insurance. Every single Truther and Changer that I know supports Ron Paul. You may not know this, but Ron Paul opposes any kind of public health insurance scheme. It's not just an issue of the Democrates current plan, he opposes ALL public health insurance as immoral. I mention this because I have spoken with WAC members who told me they support Paul but want free health care.

We Are Change is repulsive. You can 'God Bless America' me all you want, but don't go thinking that fools anyone here about what people like WAC want to do with the USA. If that's where you learned about the health issues of First Responders, I suggest you pick up the newspaper or turn on the TV. It's not a secret. It's been widely covered in the mainstream media. There is no conspiracy that's kept it silent. It's there and you missed it.

The first responders know how to have their voice heard. WAC just jumped on the bandwagon to stroke their own ego.

This is exactly the point. 911 First Responders do not need whatever petty public awareness that WAC was able to create to look after their interests. Their interests were already being looked after by the legitimate legal system of the USA. The idea that WAC posting videos makes any difference to their situation is stupid.
