Haiti Earthquake and HAARP

I am listening to the Alex Jones an a lot of callers are bringing this up and Alex is just saying that he does not know and is trying to avoid the subject. However what I found interesting was Alex saying that Secretary of Defense Cohen spoke about earthquake weapons and I found the link to this article from 1997 through the internet archive. http://web.archive.org/web/20010913...selink.mil/news/Apr1997/t042897_t0428coh.html

There is a passing mention about enemies developing earthquake weapons that work with electromagnetic waves or spreading false rumours about such weapons, I am not sure about the correct interpretation. Not very indiscriminating, but it is quite interesting how Jones can remember all of this stuff.

According to my sister, my dad is up on his conspiracy soapbox about Haiti. I'm waiting to hear from her what my dad's full theory is. It's something about HAARP causing the earthquake to enable the US military to enter the country and seize it, but for what purposes I don't know yet. He won't tell me his theories about it because 1) he doesn't want to say anything over the phone and 2) my husband is about to deploy to Haiti with his squadron. Having a military spouse does keep my father's crazy away from me a bit. Don't want THE MAN to find out how much the old man knows.

You might be interested in these comments, Aardvark, in case your Dad ever mentions it:

One of my skeptical friends watched a bit of the show, and said they thought that although most of what Jesse was on about was bunk, he thought it might be possible that HAARP might be some sort of superweapon.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't HAARP just do readings? Or does it actually transmit some sort of waves/energy?

HAARP does transmit energy.

However, its total radiant output is comparable to that of a large AM radio station. In its final configuration, the total power is about 4 MW. People seem to think it has something to do with weather control... so for comparison, this power rating is about 0.0000004% of that exerted by an average hurricane.

ooh, scary.

Orphia Nay, I'm well aware of what my dad thinks HAARP can do. That was one of his first, and still favorite, conspiracies. It controls the weather, it causes drought, it can beam information into men's heads. Anything that happens in nature is probably caused by HAARP.

I've looked up much information in it to try and convince my dad that it is is not the evil super-weapon he seems to think it is. But then I get accused of believing the story "they" want me to believe. He'll never accept what HAARP really is because it's just not, I don't know, juicy enough. That's the problem with all the conspiracies he believes. The real story is just not exciting enough for him, so there is just no way to being him back to reality.

It must have been the HAARP weather control beam that works beautifully on New Orleans, Haiti, and 9/11 (Judy Wood) but is woefully ineffective at causing natural disasters in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Joey Donuts is now personally responsible for hot coffee shooting out my nose...Bravo, funny haha

I'm just a little surprised that none of these idiots have raised the subject of zombies. Or have they?

Haiti getting hit by Barry Manilow? Run for the :rule10ing HILLS man! OMG! CATASTROPHE! AAAAAHHHH :toiletpap

If I was to speculate from a CT-standpoint, here's what I would say

HAARP was used to induce an earthquake in Haiti for the following reasons
- To induce a disaster of massive magnitude
- See how badly rioting, looting, and overall anarchy would erupt
- See how hard it would be to suppress, and if necessary put down as a test of how to handle martial-law scenarios.

Why to kick the corpse so hard? The PhD's are like a couple of million years from being able to create an earthquake, which the USGS folks in Colorado would attribute to the nature -- no questions asked. So what's there to debunk?

I could understand somewhat where the inspiration could come from, if a series of strong and shallow earthquakes occurring 2.5 miles under the Iranian nuclear reactor caused the Iranians to start anew from the cellar up. But that's not even sci-fi, just utopia.

Some good points in this article:

http://blogcritics.org/video/article/tv-review-conspiracy-theory-with-jesse1/

In any case, while Jesse kvetches at length about being unable to access crucial evidence presumably contained in the missing WTC black boxes, one cannot help but notice that he selectively ignores the recovered black boxes from the other two 9/11 hijacked planes.

After American Airlines Flight 77 from Washington's Dulles International Airport smashed into the Pentagon, killing all 64 on board plus 125 on the ground, first responders found its black boxes among debris 300 feet inside the building. While the cockpit voice recorder was too badly damaged to retrieve information, the flight data recorder proved useful to investigators.

After United Airlines Flight 93 from Newark International Airport went down in a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania, killing all 44 on board, both of its black boxes were recovered and analyzed, yielding the heroic story of how a passenger revolt foiled the hijackers' plan to crash the aircraft into either the White House or Capitol building.

I think we can surmise why Conspiracy Theory does not mention these black boxes. If, as Jesse contends, the Government's "main focus that day was to get rid of every shred of evidence," why would the recorders from Flights 77 and 93 be spared? Their existence punches a whole in Ventura's hypothesis big enough for barely qualified Saudi psychopaths to pilot four jetliners through. And who'd lose face from that?
