Ancient Pyramids and other structures, astronomical alignment & similarity.

A good observation, well presented.

The Egyptians were just about obsessed with how it all looked, and took this obsession to extremes with the glyphs, where meaning was often subserviant to appearance.

Menkhare and the rest of Egypt wouldn't have been able to sleep ever again if that third Pyramid had been built crooked.

Did aliens help to line up Woolworths stores?

What I find particularly interesting is when you look at the actual map that he drew, found here. In particular, look at points 6 and 9. Even at the scale on this map, it's blatantly obvious that they don't actually line up at all. The triangles are wonky. So this really is a classic demonstration of woo. Not only is it a great example of how it's possible to find patterns pretty much anywhere if you look hard enough, but it turns out that you still have to lie about those patterns in order to see any significance in them.

It is amazing how 3 points will either form a line or a triangle.
I am sure there is some ancient knowledge involved. :)

I must be doing it wrong. I keep getting a two lines that intersect like a "V". Sometimes I even get circles. Help!

Holy crap guys! :eye-poppi

Thanks for all the responses, I'll be back later tonight to read them all because I don't have time right now.

Thanks again and see you later tonight!

It sounds like you are seriously behind on ancient monument alignment.

You have to explore all the the available options for making lines between points. Or if that does not make sense explore some not available.

The Pyramid of the Sun's base is actually slightly longer than it is wide. The Great Pyramid's base is designed to be square.

Carry on.

You might want to point out that termite mounds around the world Gondwana are all nicely lined up with True North and ask about the religious significance of that.

No, please don't. It will only lead more maudlin maunderings about the oneness of the universe and the unity of nature and how all consciousness is really intertwined.

Carry on.

Pyramid of the Sun:
Height 233.5 feet/71.2 metres
Base perimeter 2,932.8 feet/893.9 metres
Side 733.2 feet/223.5 metres
1/2 Side 366.6 feet/111.7 metres
Angle of slope 32.494

...?

Which side is 'off', and by how much?

Ah, my bad - it's the Pyramid of the Moon that is longer than wide.

As an aside; it's quite amazing how many dozens of differences between the Pyramid of the Sun and Khufu's pyramid you can point out to no effect. There is not a single, solitary way in which the pyramids actually are alike; yet, that the Pyramid of the Sun has a base almost as large as Khufu's pyramid's base is enough to make some people insist there must be some "connection".

Or quite probable...

I am not well funded enough to look properly.

Agreed, my bad.

*I think that without TV, the Sky is the coolest thing to look at after sunset. When 'I' erect my stones, I will absolutely incorporate a winter and summer solstice stone marker. I'll do it as way of connecting to the timelessness of the stars. I am sure that I'm not the first man through out time to do so... THIS in an of itself would not indicate 'contact' between cultures.
The stars aren't timeless. They just don't change as rapidly as we do.

Saying the "dimensions of the base of the Pyramid of the Sun are the same as the Great Pyramid" is just a way of trying to sound scientific when saying "both pyramids are square... wooooooo!"

And are 7 and 4 supposed to be symmetrical? :oldroll:

There are thousands of ancient sites in Britain. That guy is just cherry-picking sites that sort of make a pretty pattern, and ignoring the rest of the sites. It's the same woo thing Richard Hoagland does with images of outcrops on the surface of Mars.

MysticMap.jpg

Julia Creek - Many sightings of the Min Min light

Edward River - Possible dinosaur sightings

Stradbroke Seamount - Mysterious offshore formation, not sighted by Captain Cook DESPITE BEING RIGHT ON TOP OF IT!

Port Fairy - What can I say?

Mungo National Park - Home of the ancestral Yowie

Perth - If you've been there, you don't have to ask

Robe River - Obvious reference to Jeebus' time in Australia between the ages of 12 and 30.

It's just a matter of connecting the dots, people!

That looks remarkably like one of those landing signals for alien spaceships.
In this case "Go elsewhere, somewhere further east"
