Is Humanity Experiencing a Consciousness Revolution?

Wait a second though -- isn't the curve of technological progress approaching the asymptote?

That might be what the OP is referring to. Clearly, if all of humanity is able to work together on some level (despite the pressure to fight each other exerted by our governments and nationalist idiots), the curve will go asymptotic. That might be what we are talking about here, the change in information sharing capability.

Also, note that being alive when the curve goes asymptotic is definitely something to be excited about.

I can never tell if I'm actualizing my essence, or or essencing my actuality.
 
Here's my take...Human nature has not changed appreciably in the 150,000-odd years since Sapiens Sapiens stepped onto the stage.
Nor is it likely to anytime soon.
We are still capable of imagination and moments of genius and great ideas. We are also still capable of petty jealousies, unconscionable violence, and a variety of other nasty behaviors.
At best, we can seek to promote the former and suppress the latter.
 
I think I have a terminology problem. Exactly what is it that is allegedly undergoing a revolution, and in what way? How is it changing, and in what way? And what effect will this have on the average person in the street?
 
The definition of revolution is "a drastic and far-reaching change in ways of thinking and behaving." These New Age people keep forgetting that the concept of this "consciousness" they love to talk about has been around for MILLENIA. So I would say no. We are NOT experiencing a consciousness revolution.

...on second thought, I drank too much once and had the spins, and in the morning I couldn't remember much. I may have experienced one or more consciousness revolutions...

Eh. Ok, did some searching, the book is out of print.
A lot of the links are 404'd. Glowing Amazon reviews by all of two people.

Falls into my category of not outright nuttiness, but more of a collective vanity where everyone involved calls each other geniuses and says they are making a better world.

The author Lazlo seems associated with a group called The Club of Budapest. Various new agey ideas like Noetics. Found a whole list of links that should keep interested people busy for days:

The Revolution in question is a transfer of focus, by the masses from the external objective reality onto the inner reality within the body. If this happens it will not be under the volition of the individual person, it will just happen and the individual "I" will either go crazy or find a new home in realising consciousness.

Consciousness is moving at a fast speed, lets say the speed of light. It is the background of the inner reality moving so fast as to be absolutely still.

If this consciousness were to "move in" on the slower speed of thought and emotion where "I" live, that "I" is going to have the heat applied to it. "I" will either intelligently assess the situation and die to it's current position and realise the "new" or if the self knowledge is not great enough it will go even more crazy than it already is.

This new consciousness reality is not unfamiliar, it is just that we take "now" for granted. We are too complicated to recognise it as the reality of Life.

I think it's like when the Master projected his own expanded consciousness as a template across humanity, forcing out the individual "I".

Don't be silly, the transubstantion of the luminal field of meta-physical reality does not lead to the Master projecting but trans-meditating to forward the third karmic eye.
