While vacationing in Hawaii, Rush Limbaugh had a heart attack. Not fun, but nothing there to get your conspiracy in a bunch about. But toss these little facts in.

Obama was also vacationing in Hawaii at the same time Rush was there having his brush with the grim reaper. Rush was rushed to the very hospital Obama was born.

There isn't a whole lot of connection here, but there is plenty of fuel for the conspiracy engine.

This is just silly.

Obama did it. In the library. With the candlestick.

And not only did he do it, he made sure he was on the scene so there wouldn't be any alibi. This was to sure that some mad loons would try to connect him with the drug-abusing, alcohol-abusing, self-abusing nutjob that some how just happened to have a heart attack, completely out of the blue.

CTwits, you live down to your reputation.

Actually, no. Rush went to Queens medical center, not Kapi'olani.

Well, that changes everything. I'm changing my answer to Col. Mustard did it. In the kitchen. With the rope.

But we all know that Colonel is a military rank. And who's the commander of the military? :jaw-dropp

You forgot overweight, or did you leave it out because obesity has never been linked to heart attacks

I thought he had lost a considerable amount of weight in recent years.

Well, I haven't paid much attention to him since Al (now Senator ) Franken wrote that 'biography' on him Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot and Other Observations so my info being a little out of date does not really surprise me

He had an unhealthy amount of weight loss in the time frame, though.

The National Institutes of Health convened an expert panel to study evidence-based research to develop key recommendations for assessing and treating overweight and obese patients. The clinical guidelines recommend a calorie deficit of no more than 1,000 calories a day for an average weight loss of 0.5 to 2.0 pounds per week depending on the patient's starting weight. The recommendations are made to promote effective weight loss while safeguarding the patient's health.

In the ABC News report, Dr. Marie Savard said: "To lose that much weight -- he talked about losing as much as a pound a day which is not safe -- you need to severely cut your calories. [That] starvation mode, has potentially dangerous health effects including losing fat and lean muscle mass."

I've been surprised at the amount of vitriol and hatred spewed since this news broke. Its like the conspiracy theorists don't know which direction to go in - if they join the hate bandwagon then they might be mainstream! Its like people cannot feel genuine concern for someone else as a human being because of their personal political biases. For example, I think Alex Jones is an absolute crackpot but I would never wish death upon him as I've seen people do with Limbaugh (not on JREF - places like TMZ).

And Limbaugh over the past few years lost a lot of weight. People can and do have heart attacks all the time for things other than their weight.

By the way, I was looking at google news and can't find any source that says this was a heart attack. Only thing that has been reported was "mild chest pains" and that they had not confirmed it was related to heart trouble.
