Moderated Obama birth certificate CT / SSN CT / Birther discussion

It seems to me that too much precedence has been set already. I appears that the birthers are now in the realm of the truthers and Vince Foster wackos at this point. Which is good because this crap is now exposed as the partisan nonsense that it is. Perhaps those opposed to the Obama presidency can focus 100% on real issues.

I predict it will be a major issue in the next election, and might be the only factor that causes Obama's re-election.

So has Orly paid convinced enough other people to donate towards paying her fine yet?

Fixed that for you. I'm pretty sure the answer is "No", though, as she certainly would have published some sort of rant about it if she had.

A little on topic

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/article/2009/dec/09/vote-now-lie-year/

"You've heard of the Person of the Year and the Sportsman of the Year -- get ready for PolitiFact's Lie of the Year.

For our year-in-review coverage, PolitiFact soon will be announcing our Lie of the Year -- the most significant falsehood of 2009. Our staff is examining the claims we've rated False or Pants on Fire and will be choosing the one that reached all-star status and played an important role in the nation's political discourse."

Of course Orly Taitz is on the list for her gem of a lie:

"A birth certificate shows Barack Obama was born in Kenya.
-- Orly Taitz on Sunday, Aug. 2, 2009, in an attachment to a lawsuit"

Anyone wishes to vote ,just visit the link above.
Well, it would be nice for her to win something. But she's up against Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin, and Michelle Bachmann.

Wait, Ann Coulter isn’t in the running? I’d say she has a chance, then.

ETA:
I cast my vote. I didn’t vote for Orly though. In choosing the “biggest lie”, I had to consider not just the falsity but the possible impact. And you have to admit, Orly’s lie is so easy to verify as false, it can’t possibly hope to even compare with the other candidates, e.g. Palin’s whopper on the health care reform bill.

"Fitzpatrick has also sought indictments against Grand Jury Foreman Pettway and Assistant District Attorney Stutts, saying they are guilty of obstruction of justice in his attempts to indict the President."

I predict that this "indict anyone who thinks I'm nuts" strategy will not end well for the Birthers.

Although, it does provide an interesting insight into the mindset of these guys. "I couldn't indict Obama because his lackeys are conspiring against me! I know! I'll indict the lackeys! There's no way they would ever dare to subvert the system to cover up that bit of treason!"

It's also another great example of the "everyone who is against me is in on it" paranoia/delusion.

Some clown over at the misnamed site “Intellectual Conservative” site just suggested that

Khalid Shaikh Mohammed could well bring up the subject of Barack Obama never producing his long form birth certificate and thus claim he is not qualified to be President of the United States, thus rendering invalid his appointment of Attorney General Holder. It would throw the court into an uproar and possibly cause a Constitutional crisis, exactly what KSM wants – and the Obama administration doesn't want to see on television just before the 2010 or 2012 elections.
KSM doesn't even have to research the citizenship matter much. He could merely attain transcripts of the case attorney Orly Taitz won against the government in attempting to deploy a soldier overseas who claimed that Barack Obama wasn't a valid Commander-In-Chief. He could also use the public record of Philip Berg's testimony in his attempt to question President Obama's citizenship before the US Supreme Court.

LOL

More hilarity from that article:

"Obama is governing as if he has one TWO-YEAR term, not four. What if the destruction of Constitutional rule and capitalism is his aim, as many a website has made a case for? That would mean Obama would relish a Constitutional crisis and might even want to use it to declare martial law.

Don't assume that Obama wants what most people want in America. If that were true, he never would have flown a 747 trailed by a jet fighter over Manhattan as if it were another 9/11 – or moved this trial to the New York federal courthouse. Why would you give the man who appointed a bunch of unaccountable, unconstitutional Czars and is involved in passing an unreadable healthcare bill in the middle of a Saturday night the benefit of the doubt?"

God, he will end up indicting 99.9999% of the US population.

Well, I guess if you consider the fact that her client got what he asked for, not getting sent to Afghanistan, then she "won."

Well, Orly just realized that by focusing on her motion for reconsideration, she blew her chance to file for an appeal in the Barnett case. She just filed this motion for clarification.

Now, I don’t know about you, but it seems to me that an order to dismiss is pretty final.

And, no, I'm willing to bet that the court is not going to allow her to appeal the order to dismiss. She can only appeal the denial of the motion for reconsideration.

D'oh!

Judge Carter just slapped Orly down.

The Court is in receipt of Plaintiffs’ Motion for Clarification regarding whether the October 29, 2009 Order was a dismissal with or without prejudice.

The Court’s dismissal of Plaintiff’s First Amended Complaint on October 29, 2009 was a dismissal without leave to amend and with prejudice.
The Clerk shall serve this minute order on all parties to the action.
