UFOs: The Research, the Evidence

One and each supposed sighting can be debunked by a logical explanation. Occam's Razor shaves away the improbable until the probable only is left which in 99.9% of cases is the easiest and most logical explanation. Man is a pattern seeking animal, he sees the face of Jesus in a slice of bread or his latte at breakfast time. He sees things like the face of a man on Mars, things that are not there or if there are, mistaken for something he is familiar with like Santa Clause.

Doctors are everywhere on TV. In fact, I think it's a conspiracy to take over the world bit by bit. :D

Tell this pilot he's mistaken.

Tell this pilot he's mistaken.
About this time, or the time before this, he claimed he saw an alien spaceship?

(by the way, just like the JAL 1628 pilot who reported seeing a “mothership” the size of an “aircraft carrier" over Alaska)

Read this (less pseudoscientific than usual UFOlogical analysis) and decide for yourself if he might be mistaken...

Report on Aerial Phenomena Observed near the Channel Islands, UK, April 23 2007
Jean-Francois Baure, David Clarke, Paul Fuller & Martin Shough
http://www.guernsey.uk-ufo.org/

"We are unable to explain the UAP sightings satisfactorily without either a) discounting at least some significant features of the reports, or b) doing violence to at least some conventional meteorological optics or conventional EQL phenomenology. We hope that readers of this report will find it helpful in deciding which (if either) of those courses of action seems the more reasonable and economical."

Looking forward to your own detailed analysis of this case… surely you can do better than simply posting yet another YouTube video?

I would ask him a battery of questions, like, have you had a drink, have you taken drugs of any kind, have you seen this type of thing before, did you have a good nights sleep before you think you saw this image, did other people also see this thing, if so, who are they, what do you think this was, have you ever had an interest in UFOs, read any books on the subject, do you like watching S/F movies that involve space craft from other worlds? :p

Radar images are anecdotal?

You should read Access denied's link. There was an extensive analysis of the radar images. Nothing conclusive could be drawn from them. Dr. David Clarke (one of the authors of the report mentioned by Access denied) wrote to me in an e-mail the following concerning the radar images shown on the program:

“On the Channel Islands incident the ground-to-air chatter was played to emphasise the section where ATC mention obtaining a radar contact - which sounds impressive when played out of context. What wasn’t mention was the fact that ATC were convinced the ‘contact’ was a weather return, and its position did not correspond to the visual sighting by the pilot, Ray Bowyer”

So the show misled it's viewers in order to get you to believe you were seeing a radar return of an actual UFO. So much for honesty by the producer of the program.

You can read my commentary on the various cases discussed on the show in the last issue of SUNlite:

http://home.comcast.net/~tprinty/UFO/SUNlite1_4.pdf

Go to page 4 for a discussion of many of the cases and page 26 has a general commentary on the show.

Par for the course with James Fox and UFO "documentaries" in general. He also misrepresented MUFON’s “analysis” (read cherry-picking) of the radar data in the Stephenville case which you do an excellent job of deconstructing here…

STEPHENVILLE, TEXAS: Trying to make much about very little
http://home.comcast.net/~tprinty/UFO/svilletx.htm

Ricky Sorrell’s alleged sighting of a giant UFO hovering over him was in mid December (although that wasn’t how it was first reported) and the radar data is from the January 8th “flap”.

(that seems to reoccur every year at the same time as military excercises occur over the Brownwood MOA)

Aliens are already among us

So say Bulgarian scientists

"Work on deciphering a complex set of symbols sent to them is underway, scientists from the country's Space Research Institute said.

They claim aliens are currently answering 30 questions posed to them.

Lachezar Filipov, deputy director of the Space Research Institute of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, confirmed the research."

Linky

So probably Rramjet is right :rolleyes:

He said his team was analyzing 150 crop circles around the world to find the answers, believing that they contained information useful to humanity. " It is said that there is one that kicks off the end of the world in 2012, the dangers of global warming and the threat of asteroid impact," he told the Novinar Daily newspaper.

But Filipov's colleagues at the Academy aren't quite so friendly, and there have been calls for his resignation.
;)

Aliens are answering questions?

Cool. What are the questions? Please oh please don't be the stupid trite stereotype ones.

How about things like "what is the secret coke recipe"

Apparently, they will tell you this but you have to give them permission to bill your Visa card two-fifty. ;)
