A shocking report, ordered by the Metropolitan Police Authority, has revealed that 92 percent of all gang rapists in London are non-white. Fifty percent of all the victims are white.

The report, drawn up by a senior detective from the Yard’s Operation Sapphire team, which investigates sex crimes, revealed that eight percent of all gang rape suspects in 2008/09 were white, 32 percent were black, and 24 percent contained members of different ethnicities. The make-up for the rest was unknown.

The proportion of white victims fell from 69 percent in 1998/99 to 50 percent last year, while the number of black victims doubled from 17 percent to 34 percent, the report continued.

well let me see - even if we accept the OPs implications as legit (which I do not) that non-white males have a higher propensity for gang rape than whites (and what exactly is the numbers based on race on just "plain" rape by the way?)

I was making a vague allusion to the original (intent of) Georgia as a debtors prison/colony. I find, however,that it never really got off the ground as such. That last bit, that it didn't actually begin as a debtors prison/colony, was left out of the survey history I got in Virginia, all those years ago. Go figure.

Oglethorpe was noted as a philanthropist and for his benevolence, including helping children and defending seamen against impressment (being forced into service against one's will). It was his work on the Prison Discipline Committee that brought him in contact with the idea of creating a colony of debtors in the New World. Proposed by a number of writers and in at least one book, the concept gained some acceptance before Oglethorpe became a driving force in the group in 1728.

A group of 21 men, including Oglethorpe and Lord Percival, created a charter for the new colony named Georgia (in honor of King George II). The grant included all land between the Altamaha and Savannah Rivers and from the headwaters of these rivers to the "south seas." The charter specifically prohibited any trustee from making money on the venture. Oglethorpe used his connections to move the Charter for the colony of Georgia quickly to the king, who signed it on June 9, 1732. When time came to choose the men and women who would establish the new colony none were from debtors prison because enough non-debtor colonists were found.

Did you read the MPA report? It is clearly talking about a sample, and the results look disturbing. If it's untrue, it would be great if it were refuted. Is there any evidence that the report is faulty, or must it be incorrect if it is used BMP for political purposes?
