Duensing’s friend said Duensing drove through an intersection in a right-turn only lane and that’s why he was pulled over. “It’s not the kind of thing you expect to be shot for,” the friend said.
Oh how I hate jackasses who use the "right turn only" lane to pass! I'd support the LV police if they shot him just for that. :biggrin:

Even if you have a license to carry a concealed weapon, when stopped by the police most states require you to announce that you have a weapon.


While that is likely explained in your safety class (and as an instructor he should've known that better than anyone) I don't see anything in the Nevada CCW laws that explicitly requires carriers to announce to police they have a weapon, only that documents must be provided upon request.

As to the notion a warrant would disqualify him from being licensed, Nevada law seems to suggest it would only be an issue if he was charged with a violent crime.

As far as I can google this is a traffic offence, like the u-turn, and he had not paid the fine.
So instead of paying his fines he run and try to pull a gun.

What was he thinking?
That shooting police officers would solve his problems with the fines?

(Ok, it would, but there would be other bigger problems)

The political assassination theory does not hold water, among other things he is not quite at level with Kennedy or King.:D

After exiting the vehicle at the officer’s request, I was standing with my back to the vehicle. The car’s open door was to my right. My hands were raised above my head. I was calmly speaking to the cop attempting to talk my way out of being taken to jail over an unpaid High Occupancy Vehicle ticket.

With my hands raised above my head, the cop shot me with a taser in the chest. As I have had heart problems since my premature birth, I believe a Taser to be a lethal weapon. Several people without heart conditions have been killed by this weapon.

Something doesn't sound right.

Why would a cop taser a guy whose hands are up?
 
He was probably refusing to comply with the officer's directions to turn around and put his hands on the car, because he was "under arrest."
 
Just because something's not in the constitution doesn't make it unconstitutional.
 
I couldn't help chuckling a bit at this part of Duensing's statement:

The doctors believe that two of the shots made contact. It appears that one entered my right pec, bounced off my sternum, went through my left pec, then shattered my humerous just above my left elbow.

Jim Duensing, 2008 Congressional candidate and founder of the Libertarian 9/11 truth caucus Libertarians for Justice, is in critical condition after being repeatedly shot in the back and arm by a Las Vegas cop. Our prayers go out to Jim, who is recovering with his wife in the hospital and thankfully is expected to survive.

The standard police line about how the suspect was supposedly reaching for a gun, blah blah blah, was contradicted by an eyewitness: "They shot him in the back," she said. "He was just running."

If you don't like this post-9/11 post-Constitution USA where uniformed thugs feel free to shoot people in the back, please support Jim's two big causes, libertarianism and 9/11 truth.

Here's wishing Jim a speedy recovery. I'm looking forward to having him back on my radio shows ASAP God willing.
