Ah, that makes it easy. Now, with that much interest in the article, I know I can refine my search.

The birthers are just like the truthers. They'll eat what ever's spoon fed to them by the opposing side without demanding explanation. A single news paper artical that supposedly supports "their side" is more significant than the heaps of information on the other side that invalidates that artical.

I must disagree here, Flintstone v. Rubble only applies to dentists who are natural born citizens. Thus Orly is ineligible for this exemption.

Well, if this were a rational discussion, I would have preserved the evidence of your error and now have grounds to file an appeal.

But since I'm pretending to be Orly or another birfer nutcase type, I will instead call you a "traitor, demand that you recuse yourself voluntarily from the Randi forum, and submit an affidavit with a forged photograph of a Victoria's Secret underwear model beating you with a snake whip and forcing you to eat dog kibbles as proof that the capital of London is Paris (or perhaps the other way around) and that it's only your Own Bias that Prevents YOU FROM LOOKING AT THE EVIDENCE!!!!1!11! Does it suck that all your arguments are debunked almost as soon as you make them? People here are correct, the AP story doesn't contain the Kenyan birth stuff. All that was specific to the newspaper trying to ad a local flavor to an otherwise boring international story.

wow, if anyone familiar with the back story of Obama, they'd know that Obama's father wasn't around often because he traveled alot. So the comment of "very single" could mean that even though married, Ann saw very little of her husband (which is probably one of the reasons WHY they divorced).

My best friend from high school always referred to her mother as raising her as a single mother, despite being married. Her father was never home, and they lived very separate lives.


goes to show that those who listen to comments take it to mean something very extreme, when all one has to do is look at Obama's family life to understand why the comment was made.

To add to Ann raising Obama pretty much on her own, Obama's father, when Obama was only 1 years old, was accepted into Harvard, thereby leaving Ann to raise Obama alone, while he attended school. His ambition was always to return to Kenya and she wasn't willing to follow. She filed for divorce in, and he went off to Massachusetts without contesting the divorce.

when obama was 2, ann reapplied to college. So college and raising a child on her own, she was definitely a single mother and getting a Bachelors Degree in the process. in 1967, she married Lolo Soetoro.

bam, easily debunked in a mere 30 second search on the net.

As to WND's claim that the Obama camp has maintained that his mom and dad were married at the time he was born, there are countless sources that indicate that. Here are a few you can't possibly challenge as *non-reputable* because they are all Obama loving left-wing media sources:

It's remarkable how Obama supporters always have to twist and spin in order to explain slips of the tongue by Obama and Michelle. Remember her comment about not being proud of America until Obama sought the Whitehouse? Remember his calling Ayers just being a "guy in the neighborhood"? I bet you had rationalizations for those statements too. But eventually I think you will get tangled in the lies and lies and lies on which his life and policies are built. :D

Yes we do. Site like CNN, TIME, MSNBC, Washington Post, New York times. these are reputable websites as their stories are reputable.

WND is not a reputable source; never has been and never will be. If they continue to post racists centric articles, articles that are based on hearsay and lies, articles that have no rational for their conclusions; and as demonstrated, can't even FACT check correctly, they are not reputable at all.

did you bother to take 30 seconds to research the claim? It was easy to do so. Plug in Obama parents divorce, and I pulled up an Article by TIME that gave a timeline of his life, of when he was born, what his parents were doing, and when his parents got a divorce. As demonstrated, for much of Obama's young life (practically from age 1) he was raised by his mother, since his father WENT off to Harvard. If you dont understand how being raised by only a mother, while the father is off at HARVARD away from home, then you do not understand what "single" means. The fact that Ann filed for divocirce in 1964 proves and remarried 3 years later, shows that Obama was raised by his single, on food stamps, putting herself through college, young mother.

AND in which WND misrepresented the quote, taking it to me something "nefarious" when ALL one had to do is LOOK at Obama's life while he was growing up.

MIchelle OBAMA was telling the truth: Obama was raised by a VERY single Ann Obama in his very early life. She didn't marry Lolo Soetoro till 1967, when Obama was 6 years old.


If you have ever talked to a single mother, they'll tell you very quickly how hard it is to raise a child at such a young age, on your own.

No they added their own spin to the quote. They quoted it, yes, but they added a commentary that Had nothing to do with reality.

30 second research and they would have easily seen that Ann raised Obama on her own.





Again, we are commenting on the obnoxious inference WND made on the comment. WE are not challenging the comment made by Michelle Obama. Only the idiotic statement MADE by WND.
