This case has not been dismissed. The birthers are all excited because they think the judge will order discovery which will require that Obama or the State of Hawaii to cough up the original birth certificate instead of a computer generated copy.

What do you all think of the chance of this case? I think it will be dismissed like all the others. Nothing else is scheduled to happen on this case until November 16 though.

I'm thinking the judge will require them to demonstrate some sane reason to doubt the already produced Certificate of Live Birth before proceeding and that this will result in us not having near enough laughing dog smilies.

That's not the interesting question. The interesting question is what will happen if everything the birthers are demanding is delivered to them exactly as they have specified and appears to be completely in order. What do you think the chance is that they'll then shut up and go away?

Hint for the mathematically inclined: The chance of that is equal to the limit as X approaches infinity of the fraction 1/X.

I have had a few birthers tell me that all they want is the original BC. I told them that nothing will satisfy them. If the original BC shows Oahu as the birth place, then they will say it is a fake. If it is tested at a lab and shown to be genuine, then the lab will be part of the conspiracy.
