Right. Stern has been cheating on Beth Horsetrosky ever since Robin Quivers shed 100lbs. More like Stern acknowledges that this story is about Letterman's low self-esteem than it is about blackmail.

I was thinking more along the lines of Stern is the chauvinist pig and he's projecting that sentiment onto Letterman.

Not that I know the details of the case, but do you know for a fact that he did? Maybe they were in an open relationship, maybe it happened during a period when they were not together or, hell, maybe he'd asked and gotten permission.

This is 2009. Sexual mores aren't what they used to be (not that they ever really were in the first place.)

If any of your scenarios were true Letterman would not have said the following:

As far as their on air personalities, both Letterman and Stern make "chauvinist pig" comments. As far as taking advantage of the employer/employee relationship, Letterman leaves Stern in the dust.

Claiming Letterman and Stern both demean women equally is absurd. Perhaps you don't know what is meant by the term, chauvinist? It doesn't mean only making remarks about a woman's attractiveness. It means treating women like nothing more than sex objects or housekeeper/child raisers or both. There's no way Stern and Letterman on air are the same.

And since I doubt you know Stern personally and I know neither of them, any discussion beyond the above is a waste of speculation.

Since you do not know either of these two folks personally, how did you conclude the "claim" was "absurd?"

I was talking about their on-air personalities, while skeptigirl seems to imply how they behave in their private lives, as I never said "Letterman and Stern both demean women equally" on the air.

You are trying to argue semantics. Another waste of time. That was a reference to their on air personas.
