*Final* Health Care Bill released ... NOT!

Anyone notice this news item?

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/10/02/health/policy/02health.html

Isn't this tacit admission that the President lied to us yet again? That democrats are going to tax families making less than $250,000? And don't try to tell me it's not a "tax". Senator Baucus, himself, calls some of these penalties "taxes". And, according to the NYTimes,

So are you ok with Obama having lied to us again?

(And who know what other taxes will be slipped into the final final bill.) :D
So, conservatives are being dishonest and stupid yet again?

Well, that's such a surprise. Wow. I'm astonished.

P.S: That was sarcasm.

So, conservatives are being dishonest and stupid yet again?
.....
Yes, oh my oh my.

From the link and the Ms (R):

"I just don’t understand why there’s this impetus to punish people.”

That is certainly really stupid isn't it?

Or was it?

Why? What do you care if it's going to be totally rewritten anyway?
I'm curious. You don't live in the US, right? And you are really naive about how this works?

The answer is, of course you don't care to read it, you're just finding any excuse to try and obstruct the process.
It would empower people to obstruct bills, maybe. There is no political party to that, it is enabing to the average citizen.

I'm curious. You don't live in the US, right? And you are really naive about how this works?

As opposed to BaC, who presumably lives in the US, and is really naive about how this works.

Please reconstruct this last sentence. I can't exactly figure out what you're saying and don't want to assume something you didn't mean.

Naive eh? I'm not the one who thinks this is "the bill" and that there is some "final language" that could be posted online if those evil commie dems weren't keeping it top secret.

A. Bill is secret. People are disempowered.

Whew, good thing the bill is absolutely not secret.

You think not? So in that case the one and only example you can come up with of a Republican lawmaker not being stupid is ... Olympia Snow, who according to that article is the one and only Republican lawmaker who appears to favor reform.

Your foot is down ... point the gun downwards ... yeah, you've got it. You needed a little coaching, but you seem to have figured it out. Now you pull the trigger.

Here's another comment for most of you folks to ignore:

The senate bill will tax "class II" devices costing more than $100 and all "class III" and above devices. This means that new mothers who buy a breast pump may have to pay a new tax. And here are some other items that will be taxed. Dentures. HIV saliva test kits. Stair-climbing wheelchairs. Extended wear, soft contact lenses. Sickle-cell anemia tests. Mammograms. And you can be sure that health providers of those items will pass those taxes on to us. That not only violates Obama's no new taxes on those making under $250,000 promise, it just doesn't seem right. Isn't it bad enough having kidney disease? Or needing dentures? But to tax them?

Can't We Read The Health Care Bill?

... snip ...

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi have been asked repeatedly to put the proposed health care bill on the Web. They've refused. Do they have something to hide?

Even Democrats have asked their leadership to put the bill online at least 72 hours before a vote, so that any American can read the 1,000-plus-page monstrosity.

... snip ...

Of course, Reid and Pelosi know very well that putting the bill online would jeopardize its passage. Anyone who actually reads it will discover what it contains, and what the media have largely ignored — new taxes, fewer health care choices, the destruction of a successful industry and the creation of a massive new bureaucracy.

Y'all ain't reading this bill neither, Chumps.

Combining threads.

Right...something that is "too expensive now" will be taxed...

You guys do realize that you're criticizing a bill that virtually no Democrats like or support and will certainly not pass as-is? Why waste your breath?
