Evidence for why we know the New Testament writers told the truth.

You've have the right to your opinion but my 1100 posts in this thread say otherwise.
Let's apply my equation

X = 1100 posts - the number of responses in this thread by you.

Y = 1100 - the number of your posts that were either refuted through logical argument, off topic, or completely irrelevant (e.g., the number of posts you've made).

according to the Joobz expression:
X - Y = Evidence.
1100 - 1100 = Evidence.
or
0 = Evidence.

As we can see, you have failed to present any evidence in this thread.

In that case the flight of Muhammad on a horse into heaven is correct as well. :D

Huh, 152 pages, 6000+ posts.

What have I missed?
Nothing much. DOC is still arguing that he is correct because he posts so much; attempts to misquote a biblical archeologist from a century ago and still repeating garbage from Geisler and McDowell.

And Jefferson; you forgot Jefferson. Because Jefferson discounted the supernatural parts of the bible, that proves they are true...

That is from Geisler.

I know, but it's almost become a stand-alone phenomenon. Maybe repetition does have some kind of power and I'm falling for it. I'm just fascinated every time I see him repeat it like a mantra. Actually, I'm fascinated every time I see him repeat so many things like a mantra.

Robo Timbo.
It must be kept in mind that DOC is clearly an adept of Josh McDowell and isn't prepared to go beyond the sources Josh 'uses'.
It can't really be expected of him at this stage.

Look what happened when posters here started examining Josh's sources-
DOC started citing Hollywood movies and even stooped to the 'reduxio ad Hitlerum' argument.
But no discussion of Josh's source, at least as far as I can see.

So.
Evidence for the truth of the NT writers?
How about those 'fulfilled' prophecies?
Although I'll admit this is the first time I've heard the argument of 'fufilled' prophecies used to sustain the truth of anything.

what fulfilled prophecies. Daniel, Isaiah, etc, were talking to their audience of their day, not of a future messiah.
I'm sick and tired of christians using this furphy to try and prove their faith.

furphy, amb?

I'm reading through older threads which dealt with the Isaiah and Daniel prophecies. It's interesting to see just how many times everything has been explained to DOC.
Everything.

Back to reading, for the moment.

What genuine prophecy has ever happened? None! Ever! in all of this planets history, and if there's other inhabited planets out there in the cosmos, none there either.
The laws of physics do not work that way, if they did, there would not be so many victims
in times of floods, earthquakes etc.

Lo... listen to me people of the fora for I speak the truth and the truth speaks through me.

I prophesize... I prophesize that DOC will not be swayed by the words of Amb, that he will ignore them or recycle the same old, tired apologetic and never, never concede that she might be right.

Here are my words and so speaketh I.

There, Amb, there will be at least one prophecy that had came true.

In other news, this morning the Sun came up, the Pope revealed that he is Catholic, and a bear defecated in a wood.

Simon, o seer, can you tell us if there's a new thread on the horizon?

Thing is, if I give an answer, it would give the poster in question the temptation to do go for the other option, just to prove me wrong. I know that I would be tempted to act so.

So, let's go the "psychic route" and say: I know the answer, of course, but spelling it would alter the outcome. It is a quantum thing. So let wait until the fact and I will tell you what my prophecy was all along.
