Army Strong

Sadly they do make such errors. Doctors are notorious for bad spelling and grammar. But don’t argue with me, argue with your training. You admitted it. Also sadly for you I do have qualifications and they are closer to this subject than you know.

But yet you won't enlighten us with such qualifications. And sorry, but you have misspelled "psychology" numerous times. You are not a professional.

So, everyone who was actually in the military is wrong, and back2basics is right. Yeah. Got it.
Want to explain how that works, exactly, b2b?

It is quite interesting how 7 or 8 posters actually in the military are telling him he is wrong but he still refuses to believe it.

Because you seem to know better than the people who told you demonizing the enemy is not constructive.

NO ONE IS DEMONIZING ANYONE. You have no idea what you are talking about. You have no idea what military training consists of yet you attempt to talk about it intelligently. Why?

You admitted it was your training. So ask your superiors. Let them make the case.

You still didn't read his posts, even in this thread. You are an officer? Really? This guy says he has a PhD do you beleive that?

This whole discussion is pointless.

b2b knows nothing about the military and how it works. That fact has become painfully evident over the last several posts. I'm done with this... fallacy of a debate. It is insulting in the extreme to presume to understand the military mindset if you have never been in the military yourself; like it or not, we have to view the world differently for many reasons, not the least of which is the protection of the people we fight for. To even ACT like you know what you are talking about, b2b... let's put it this way, you had better not confront any soldiers, the ones who actually train to go out and fight the enemy, with this erroneous assumption of yours, because they'll set you straight really quick.

Are you serious? I have read ALL of his posts in this thread and his posts in many other threads. And yes I believe he has a PhD and yes I am an officer.

Agreed. I think I am about finished with this nonsense too. He makes ZERO sense.

Just as a last point; it's a federal offense to impersonate an officer, so if you intend to make any accusations like that in the future, b2b, you'd better have some evidence to back it up, or you might find yourself facing some legal issues of your own.

You are confusing two different emotions, b2b.

Longtabber has demonstrated contempt for his enemies due to their cowardly tactics. However, he has not "demonized" them; had he been doing that, he would have likely begun attacking, either verbally or physically, anyone who so much as resembled his enemies, which would quickly get him yanked out of theater, as he'd be surrounded by them. He has not, as far as I know, done that, although I am admittedly not stationed with him and do not know him personally. You, on the other hand, seem to be generalizing his actions for no reason I can see, so I'm going to echo Quad here and ask what credentials and/or training you've had in order to be able to make such a determination without even meeting Longtabber.

Very good Captain and I thank you

I dont "demonize" anyone and i have fought "many" enemies- not just the current ones

Look at my Avatar- it says what it needs to say for anyone who can understand it

yes I have issues, yes I drink a bit but I dont lose sight of the mission and the objectives. I dont kill for the sake of killing and I remember those I do.

I have no tolerance for those who want to break or bend the rules.

I meet the enemy on his turf and beat him at his own game. I "do the jobs" that Americans wont do.

A "monster"? maybe but I'll tell you this

I've seen the faces who looked to me and no one else to help them- I have seen that look in their eyes.

I have seen the look in the eyes of those who are savages and with no remorse for human life and wanted to kill those who are innocent.

I have seen the faces of those who have been liberated and no longer fear those monsters that come in the night

I have stood in the place of the innocents who were afraid and looked to me when they had no other.

I have looked into the eyes of the enemy who "thought" this was just another "victim" but "oops" this time- you didnt jump on a little village girl carrying water- you jumped on an ODA that had a slightly different idea of what the outcome should be.

I have taught monsters the meaning of the word FEAR.

I am their "boogey man"

They dont look under their bed for Chuck Norris- they look for us

They dont wonder what the water girl will do to them for killing her parents- they worry what we are going to do to them because of it

They laugh at IED's that kill soldiers at large- they dont laugh when we come knocking at their door

They enjoy instilling fear in innocent mothers, fathers, villagers and children- they think its funny and makes them feel "tough" and "manly"

They dont enjoy it so much when the hunter becomes the hunted and theres a new player in the game.

They like to kill- it makes them feel ruff and tuff and in control

I dont like killing- it bothers me to no end and I'm not there to make a statement

I'm very happy the bad guys fear me and the only apology I'll make is that I havent killed enough of them ( yet) but I'm striving to get better

I did not accuse you of not being an officer. You are getting desperate. Keep to the argument. Or leave and quit.

I must say, bravo. Brilliant post. You echo my sentiments exactly. While some people don't understand what you said and see it as grotesque, we know that it is essential for our free country to exist.

Very honest. I hope you don't think I am saying any of this due to a lack of respect. It must be "tuff". I am sure you are "their "boogey man"". I don't doubt your patriotism, at all. I don't doubt you do what you do for the right reasons. Honestly i do not.

I am happy they fear you. I really am, and they should. That helps me, my family and our country.

I am not talking about that.

You do however demonize people. I mean some liberals may be mentally ill and want to screw the country, but you talk as if they all are. Some civilians may be stupid about war, but not all are. You talk in absolutes about groups of people. That’s the definition of demonization.

What i am talking about is where that comes from, and you know, there is an obvious answer there.

LONGTABBER feel free to keep arguing with this guy, but I think its obvious it will do no good. He can't even spell what his supposed professional training is.
