Well, when do ou think the crowning moment for Stupidity for Alex Jones was?

For me, it's a toss up between the Joker, the Chomsky interview, Y2K, the CPS rant of the galileo comment.

What about you?

Definitly the joker, when he does out to give those cops a flyer and they look at him for the moron he really is. I was kinda hoping he would bug them enough and they would taze him. :D

The Watchmen review.

Well, the Chomsky interview and the rant afterward was just stundie worthy.

But Y2K, the Joker and the CPS rant as well seem to be a photo finish.

Saying that, his interview with peter joseph was funny,he was accusing him of been a nwo disnifo shill.:catfight:

well, IMO, The Chomsky interview is an underrated event.

But i'd have to go with either Y2K or watchmen or CPS rant

Can someone who wants to punch through the TV whenever he hears Alex Jones or Noam Chomsky speaking the nickle version? What happened?

I too am curious about how Chomsky, who AFAICT is in no way sympathetic to the conspiracist worldview, would interact with Jones. However, I am not curious enough to watch an AJ video to find out (that would rank just under "sticking needles into my eyeballs" on my list of Stuff I Want to Do Before I Die).

So, if anybody's got a transcript or even a description of what happened I'd sure like to see it.

Jon Ronson described a very funny AJ moment when he was trying to sneak into Bohemian Grove. It was posted here a while ago by Mr Ronson himself. I can't remember the name of the thread, but I think it was an extract from his (Jon Ronson's) book.

Or what about when he was filming in washington and the new world order pulled the fire alarm, and send some of thier shirtless spies to follow them,on bycicles.:p:D

He posts the first chapter of his book, Them: Adventures with Extremists, in four parts starting here: http://www.internationalskeptics.com/forums/showthread.php?postid=2012281#post2012281

Not the best formatting, but it's amusing to read about how Jones goes wacky about witnessing a major Satanic ritual (the "owl burning") and, basically, being in the pit of Hell, while Jon's take is more along the lines, "that was all pretty surprising and immature, but nowhere near Satanic."

I think the funniest part was Jones and his minion practicing how to "act like yuppies" so they could blend in. It really emphasized exactly how stupid Jones is, and his minion was even stupider.

My personal favorite that actually involves Jones being an idiot was just after Thanksgiving two years ago, some buddy of Alex calls in and says that the Marines are out in force at the local Toys 'R' Us. So Alex starts frothing about how this is all a plot to get us used to seeing them at our shopping centers and stuff so we won't revolt when they take over. Alex's buddy says that the Marines have heard of him, and we can hear one guy saying "We love Alex Jones." So they get that Marine on the line and Alex asks him what they're doing out there. The Marine says "We're collecting Toys for Tots." Alex goes into a minute-long rant about what they're really doing, at the end of which, the Marine says, somewhat nonplussed, "I don't know about all that. We're out here collecting Toys for Tots."

But the all-time best moment was when I got an idea of what kind of man listens to Alex Jones. A guy calls in and he's talking about how much he likes Ron Paul, he really wants to help Ron Paul out. He's coming into an inheritance soon and he wants to donate it to Ron Paul. His uncle, you see, had died in an airplane crash and left him millions, and he wants to send Alex some documents....

As it happens, I was listening to this a day or two later on a MP3 player while riding my bike through a local park, and everybody around me was looking around at the idiot laughing his head off as he pedaled through the park. Jones quickly blew the guy off and went to commercial. When he comes back he starts talking about that "Nice guy who was just on the phone, who thinks he's going to receive a bunch of money from those people in Nigeria, it ain't gonna happen."

Of course, the amusing thing to me was that's Alex Jones' competition; email fraudsters.

For sheer stupidity, I really liked the Galileo comment because it was on Evil Lying Corporate Main Stream Hearst Yellow Journalism Control Media™ for all to see. I'd be willing to bet more "sheeple" saw that than there are people that knew of his existence without having seen the show.
What they saw was this guy, that his followers claim really knows the real history of everything and is so s-m-r-t smart, get that particular bit of history completely wrong in his effort to paint himself as a brave, wise and noble seer that will be venerated as a truth-teller; perhaps not in his lifetime, but at some point in the future.

I too am curious about how Chomsky, who AFAICT is in no way sympathetic to the conspiracist worldview, would interact with Jones.

Working from memory here:

1. They both love the word "oligarchy", so they were able to establish some common ground

2. Chomsky comes from a very pro-labor point of view, which was of course met with charges of socialism

3. Chomsky doesn't consider "socialist" an insult, so he went back to calmly plugging his book, and Jones repeated the word "oligarchy" like some sort of deranged parrot.

EDIT: Found it

"Words mean things"

What? The "20 Minutes with Obama" stunt doesn't rate a mention?

Easily the most desperate moment, but sadly, ultimately effective in rounding up some more ad revenue.

My own nomination:

The RFID Hoax by our own Unsecured Coins

I was going to talk about the time he was at the comedy club and tried to start a fight with some guy who *shock* didn't believe his crazy, but I found this little nugget that I have never seen before.

Is it just me or does it seem like Joe Rogan is making fun of him?
